Shop.ca: Cuisinart 12 Cup Coffeemaker (Refurbished) (Now $69.99, Was $139.99)

If you are in the market for a new coffeemaker, you may want to consider this refurbished Cuisinart 12 cup coffeemaker, which is now $69.99 (regularly $139.99) from Shop.ca.

I have to admit, my love affair with coffee is temperamental. I wouldn’t say I have a sophisticated palette when it comes to coffee but I definitely have a discerning one. About 8 years ago, our run of the mill, nothing special, coffeemaker up and quit one morning, however it was possibly the worst timing for me.  I was in the midst of prepping to host a bi-weekly baby group playdate for the first time. We are talking eight first time, sleep deprived moms who are not only starving for adult conversation with others who can relate to their woes, but a guaranteed, uninterrupted, much anticipated hot cup of java. So my loving husband ran out and splurged on a coffeemaker I had been coveting, but was clearly out of our budget at the time. It made the b-e-s-t cup of coffee, enough said.

Sadly that one bit the dust two years ago, and this time we just couldn’t splurge so we sucked it up and used our air miles on a coffeemaker that held a lot of promise. One feature that peaked our interest was the stainless steel thermal carafe. My husband did a lot of research on glass carafes vs. thermal carafes and we went for it. Sadly, I haven’t enjoyed a cup of coffee at home ever since.

I think it’s safe to say that I gave it the old college try. It’s been over two years and financially it just doesn’t make sense that I would rather walk to our local shop than to brew a pot at home. I’ve noticed my husband doing the same thing over the past few months.

And so we’ve decided it’s time to invest in yet another coffeemaker. Here is what piques my interest with this refurbished Cuisinart 12 cup Coffeemaker:

  • Manufacturer Re-certified with 90 days Warranty (original: Limited 3-Year Warranty)
  • Hot water system lets you enjoy instant soups, teas, cocoas and more, and offers indicators that let you know when your hot water is ready and when it s time to refill
  • Carafe temperature control offers a heater plate with high, medium, and low settings
  • Removable drip tray leaves you plenty of room for travel mugs

I read several reviews on this product and the only issue that seemed to span the different merchants was the five “loud” beeps at the end of the brewing cycle. Not sure if this is a deterrent or not but it will go into my list of cons for this product for now. However for the pros side of the list, I really do think the hot water system could be a nice feature as my husband drinks herbal tea on a nightly basis.

At most stores the cost is $129.99, however at Amazon.ca you can pick up the same machine, brand new through Cuisinart for $83.99. So if you are weary of the refurbished status you could go that route.

As always Shop.ca offers free shipping on all purchases, no minimum required. Plus if you collect Aeroplan points, you will receive a bonus 800 points with the first order of $99+ after adding your Aeroplan card to your account.

Amazon.ca: Hoover SteamVac Power Max with Clean Surge (Now $149.99, Was $299.00)

Posted by on July 3, 2014 at 10:30 AM

Amazon.ca: Hoover SteamVac Power Max with Clean Surge (Now $149.99, Was $299.00)

If you are looking to invest in a deep carpet cleaner, you may want to check out this Hoover SteamVac Power Max with Clean Surge from Amazon.ca for only $149.99 (regularly $299.00).

Whether you are the original owner of your home or you have inherited the previous owner’s carpet choice, I think we can all agree that there comes a time when the vacuum is just not cutting it anymore.

We have lived in our home for almost 12 years. We are the original owners. So we can only really blame ourselves for the state of our carpet (and our three boys, it’s really all their fault!). But most times, like pretty much everybody else, I don’t really notice how tired our carpet is looking, or I choose to ignore it, one or the other.  Either way, when I do decide to take my blinders off I can no longer bring myself to turn away. So a few years ago, against my husbands will, I hired a company to come in and clean our floors. My husband begrudgingly moved the majority of the furniture and when it was all said and done moved it all back. It took him a couple of days to truly appreciate it but in the end he admitted that it gave the carpets a much needed facelift.

Fast forward four years and I’ve been dropping hints that perhaps it’s time. However, in the meantime we did invest in a  small steam spot remover that has definitely been beneficial and has served us well. So I’m thinking that investing in a larger steam vac that we could use ourselves would be much more cost effective, plus we could truly incorporate this into our yearly cleaning schedule. Plus, at this price we would be even just after one clean!

This unit has received good reviews for the most part:

I didn’t realize how dirty my carpets were until I used this.
It comes in parts but is easy to put together and use and it doesn’t leave you with a soaked carpet afterwards.

with the only truly disconcerting piece to note, which seems to be prevalent across several different forums is in regards to ensuring the pieces are connected properly to avoid leaking. However I’m sure this is covered in the instructions:

The connections must be connected EXACTLY as directed or leaks will happen. If leaks are happening, reconnect them again. Mine leaked after the second time I used it but it was all user error. It works wonderfully and cleans upholstery and floors with minimal effort!

This item does qualify for FREE Super Saver Shipping!

Home Depot Canada: RYOBI ONE+ 5 In. Random Orbit Sander (18V) only $12

Posted by on July 3, 2014 at 10:00 AM

Home Depot Canada: RYOBI ONE+ 5 In. Random Orbit Sander (18V) only $12

If you or your husband have recently discovered the wonder of the RYOBI ONE+ line of tools then you may want to check out this RYOBI ONE+ 5 In. Random Orbit Sander for only $12!

We recently inherited a RYOBI ONE+ grass trimmer and blower and although we knew about this line of tools we never really considered investing in them.  Mainly because we own a gas powered trimmer and my husband has always leaned towards DeWalt tools.

However, with our recent acquisition we have decided to sell the gas powered trimmer for three reasons: it’s overkill for the size of property we have, it’s very loud and heavy.  Plus, with a lighter battery operated one I can take over the trim work and frankly I am ok with that.

Although my husband never considered the RYOBI ONE+ line before, he has been doing more and more research on the different tools and accessories they offer, because any Ryobi 18V Tool fits any Ryobi 18V battery and that means less clutter on his work table.

Now my husband may end up using this tool, but this one is really for me. I like to find old furniture and refinish it. I know to some of you that may sound like a huge undertaking and a few years ago I would have agreed. However, I discovered the wonders of chalk paint and it opened up a whole new world for me! Although you don’t have to strip or prep the furniture before using chalk paint, I like to distress my projects and this orbit sander could really come in handy with some of the larger pieces.

Ships for FREE! As an added bonus, this item ships for free under Home Depot’s Free Parcel Shipping category. This item is available online only so unfortunately you will have to patient for it to arrive.

Please Mum: WaveRider Magic Print Board Short Now $9.95 (Was $29.95)

Posted by on June 30, 2014 at 12:00 PM

Please Mum: WaveRider Magic Print Board Short Now $9.95 (Was $29.95)

Are you realizing that your children’s bathing suits need replacing? Check out the suits at Please Mum such as the WaveRider Chlorine Resistant Magic Print Board Short, which was $29.95 but has been reduced to $9.95! Plus when you spend $75 or more you can save an additional 20% with this coupon code: ADD20. In addition, you will receive free shipping over $75!

Normally I shop for the following year when all the end of season sales are on. To be honest, I’m not sure what happened but I failed to do that for this summer and now I’m finding myself in a pickle. I refuse to buy anything full price, unless it’s a hard to find item or the original price fit within our parameters. When it comes to children’s clothes, I strongly believe you can get high quality clothes for at least half the original price, if not more.

My seven year old son is borderline able to wear his summer clothes from last year. His t-shirts are pretty good but the shorts, well…let’s just say I’m encouraging him to low ride just a tad. His bathing suits are no different and although they are less of a concern, I’m thinking by the end of the summer they will be far too short. So I’ve been on the hunt for exceptional sales before the end of the season and I stumbled across this amazing deal at Please Mum!

Please Mum is one of those stores that doesn’t come to mind right away, but then its like discovering lost treasure! I’m not a big fan of in your face statements on children’s clothing and Please Mum always keeps it clean. Therefore, when I came across the WaveRider Chlorine Resistant Magic Print Board Short for $9.95 I was thrilled! Plus it has a little fun for the kids mixed in with the magic print that appears when wet.

Seeing as Please Mum is offering up to 90% off the entire store (plus the additional 20% when you spend over $75), I’m going to pick up these items for my five year old for the fall/spring:

If you are looking for little girl bathing suits, you can’t beat this deal on the Flamingo Spirit Chlorine Resistant 1pc Swimsuit for $4.95 (regularly $29.95).

As mentioned, Please Mum offers free shipping across Canada on all orders over $75. Otherwise, shipping starts at $7.95.

Abercrombie & Fitch: Clara Jumpsuit (Now $47.36 | Was $74)

Abercrombie & Fitch: Clara Jumpsuit (Now $47.36 | Was $74)

I am loving the rompers and jumpsuits this season and my niece turned me onto this sweet deal at Abercrombie & Fitch. My niece is always on top of the trends and I admire her ability to put outfits together with ease. Check out the Clara Jumpsuit for $59.20 (regularly $74). Plus save an additional 20% with this coupon code bringing the price down to $47.36! But today is the last day so hurry!

I love some of the fashion trends that have come with this season. I am especially in love with the rompers and jumpsuits, very reminiscent of the 60′s and 70′s. I especially love the the sophisticated silhouette that jumpsuits create with the flow of a dress but without the concerns of a summer breeze exposing your skivvies. Although there are a lot of different styles and patterns to choose from at a variety of companies, I love the simplicity of the grey and understated playful frill on the Clara Jumpsuit. You could easily dress this number up for an evening summer wedding or dress it down for an evening with friends.

If you don’t feel like the younger generation jumpsuits are appropriate for your age, check out this jumpsuit at The Shopping Channel: Kim & Co. Stretch Crepe Jumpsuit for $39.95 (regularly $79.95). One buyer is equally as happy as I am to see jumpsuits make a return to the fashion scene:

Have been wondering when jumpsuits would be coming back & very glad to see Kim&Co come up w/one! This one I ordered is great but anything I order from K&C always has been.

A few other items that caught my eye with the additional 20% at Abercrombie & Fitch are:

Men

Abercrombie offers free shipping over $75! Under $75, shipping is a flat rate of $15.

Shop.ca: Samsung NX2000 20.3MP SMART Camera With Lens (Now $349.99 Was $599.99)

Posted by on June 27, 2014 at 1:00 PM

Shop.ca: Samsung NX2000 20.3MP SMART Camera With Lens (Now $349.99 Was $599.99)

Looking to replace your point and shoot camera or ramp up your photography skills? Shop.ca is offering a pretty sweet deal on the Samsung NX2000 20.3MP SMART Camera with a 20-50mm Lens for $349.99 (regularly $599.99).

Point and shoot cameras have come a long way over the last decade. Although I don’t personally own this camera, I do have a Nikon DSLR and I absolutely love the option of the interchangeable lenses. Although most would say comparing a Nikon DSLR to a Samsung point and shoot is like night and day (and I would have to agree), I can say that a few of the features on this camera intrigue me and if I was in the market for a point and shoot camera, this one would be on my list.

Here are a few features that peak my interest in the Samsung NX2000 20.3MP SMART Camera:

  • The price: it fits a budget conscious buyer.
  • Changeable lens on a compact camera gives you the best of both worlds. Being able to adapt your camera based on your surroundings will open up a whole new world of possibilities for your photography.
  • Share your photos immediately via social media or email, or send them directly to a computer, printer or cloud service. Having the capacity to do this on the go ensures you never need to worry about running out of storage space.
  • The variety of added features make this camera so versatile, for instance the panoramic option (3D option as well), the several different easy-to-use filters allow you to edit and enhance on the go, as well as the ability to shoot video footage, a nice option when still photography doesn’t quite capture the magic.
  • Lastly, the fact that it comes with the 20-50mm lens to get you started. This is a standard zoom lens, perfect for everything from portraits to landscapes to sunsets.

Check out this review from one happy camera connoisseur:

This is a powerful, compact, and easy to use camera. The Samsung NX2000 is more than just a bridge between a point & shoot and a DSLR, it’s the real deal. In size, it’s comparable to many point and shoot cameras (without the lens) but in picture quality, it really shines. Even pictures taken at a distance come out with stunning detail. The easy share function means that I can automatically transport my photos to my smartphone and post on social networks right away. Or when you’re at home or at a WiFi hotspot, you can upload your photos to Facebook or sorted cloud drives.

You can find this camera at Amazon.ca for $359.99 making the purchase at Shop.ca $10 sweeter.

As always shipping is free on any order you place at Shop.ca, and you can earn Aeroplan points on every purchase with Shop.ca.

Lowes.ca: Cuisinart Square Belgian Waffle Maker (Now $75.99 Was $99.99)

Posted by on June 27, 2014 at 12:30 PM

Lowes.ca: Cuisinart Square Belgian Waffle Maker (Now $75.99 Was $99.99)

If you are looking for a way to impress your family at breakfast, check out this deal at Lowe’s: their Cuisinart Square Belgian Waffle Maker is now $25 off. Plus, use this coupon code (SAVETHETAX) to save the tax till Sunday, making the final price $75.99 (regularly $99.99).

My family loves when I break out the belgian waffle maker. We try to make a big breakfast on one weekend morning, and though this doesn’t always happen especially now that the nice weather is here, it’s something our children look forward to. It took me a couple of tries to come up with a belgian waffle recipe that worked for us, but once you have the base you’ll find that you can evolve from there. Recently I’ve even started incorporating different flours (coconut, buckwheat), but our stand by is a mixture of whole wheat and white flour.

The waffles are a fun way for the kids to customize a portion of their breakfast. Sometimes we incorporate fresh fruit (bananas, apples, raspberries, strawberries or blueberries, other times my children opt for chocolate chips or a combination of the two. Occasionally we get really crazy creative and incorporate fresh fruit and chococlate chips (bananas with peanut butter chips and mini chocolate chips are a fav). I know, we are w-i-l-d! If I’m going to go to the trouble of making waffles, I always make extra and freeze them. This way I can send half size portions in the children’s lunches.

Be sure to do your research on the best way to care for your waffle iron. The model we have only requires us to wipe the griddle clean after each use. Washing waffle irons with soap and water after each use can eventually impact the quality of waffle and the consistency in which you have satisfying results.

Although I don’t own this exact model, ours is a Cuisinart and we have owned it for over 16 years without fail. Check out this customer’s review on the model featured:

makes excellent waffles every time. This will, of course, also depend on the recipe used but no matter which recipe I try the waffles always come out right. I particularly like the 4-waffles- at a time- feature. This waffle maker gets a lot of workout in our household and doesn’t take that much space in the cupboard either.

This item ships via parcel shipping, which is free across Canada, so that’s an extra savings. As well, Lowe’s offers free in-store pick up: pay for it online and pick up within the hour. However, your local store must have it in stock.

Costco.ca: Wentworth Entryway Bench (Now $239.99 Was $289.99)

Posted by on June 26, 2014 at 12:30 PM

Costco.ca: Wentworth Entryway Bench (Now $239.99 Was $289.99)

Costco is offering a $50 instant rebate on the Wentworth Entryway Bench, now $239.99 (regularly $289.99).

With small children and three adults in our home, our front hall needs lots and lots of storage. We fortunately have a little alcove inside our front door which is perfect for a bench, so when I saw this piece I immediately went and measured to see if it would fit. We have a bench there now but it doesn’t provide storage, so having a piece that would do double duty is amazing.

Here’s what I love about the Wentworth Entryway Bench:

  • It’s wood, which allows for easy clean up (our current bench has a microfibre on the seat, looked nice when we first bought it but stains easily).
  • It offers five small cubbies underneath the seat which I will buy baskets for to keep the storage looking clean. We could store our shoes here but our entry way is small and I already installed a shoe organizer in our closet, so instead we will use these cubbys for sunscreen, head phones, car chargers, sunglasses, GPS, or pretty much anything that we may need to grab as we run out the door. And knowing me and my obsession with organization, I will assign a cubby to each member of our family (it works out nicely that there is one for each of us).
  • It has bonus storage with the drawers that pull out. To be honest, I don’t have a plan yet for these two gems but I know I will put them to good use.

Here is a review that may give you some more insight into the quality and storage capabilities:

This bench is made of solid wood, nicely finished with high quality hardware that pulls all the pieces together tightly.
Assembly took me just under 3 hours and I found it required concentration but was not difficult. The instructions are clear, it just takes some time to tighten all the bolts and screws.
I was disappointed that the cubicles on the bottom were not large enough for my size 9 men’s shoes to sit comfortably together in one cubby. I have squished them in by putting one shoe sideways, but I would have rather had 4 larger cubbies that fit shoes comfortably than the 5 that make them too tight. For smaller shoes, kids shoes especially, I’m sure this would not be a problem.
Also the wood is a little darker than it shows up on my computer monitor, but the overall finish is rich and smooth.
The delivery time was blazingly fast.

As always, Shipping is free from Costco.

Stuck On You Canada: Free Shipping On Every Order

Posted by on June 25, 2014 at 3:00 PM

Stuck On You Canada: Free Shipping On Every Order

Stick on You is offering free shipping with no minimum required.

If you are sending your child to daycare, camp this summer, or if your little one is starting school in the Fall, this is one must have that you don’t want to over look – labels! There’s nothing that irks me more than my children losing a jacket or other piece of clothing. But I can confidently say that ever since we introduced labels we have not lost one single piece of clothing or item at school or camp.

You can personalize them both in colour and symbol. Stuck on You offers many different combinations for both girls and boys and individual symbols to capture your child’s personality and likes.

You also have the option of either purchasing items individually or choosing from one of their many different value packs which offers a little bit of everything. The number of different labels, tags and other items are endless.

When choosing clothing labels, you have the option between stick-on or iron-on clothing labels. I prefer the stick on only for the ease of last minute labeling (and lets face it, I don’t like to iron for any reason).

Something to think about when you are personalizing your labels and one which I would highly recommend is to only use the child’s last name. This is for both safety reasons and so you can use them for all the children in your home.

Check out this rave review from a happy customer:

I bought both my kids (nearly 5 & 7) a pack each when they were born. I’m still using the same packs. The are such good quality and seem to last forever (except when ‘peeled’ off by Mister nearly 5). I would highly recommend this pack as a great gift for all new parents.

With the bonus of free shipping, ordering labels and helping to ensure your child’s belongings end up back at home is a win-win combo in my eyes.

UPDATE – we’ve just been informed that orders do actually ship from Australia so there’s a chance you might be hit by customs and duties on this one. But, they say that if a charge is made, to send them a copy of the reciept and they will sent a credit/refund of the customs charge.

Walmart: Ventura 9 Piece Family Camp Combo $97.94

Posted by on June 25, 2014 at 2:00 PM

Walmart: Ventura 9 Piece Family Camp Combo $97.94

If you are looking to spend sometime under the stars this summer, take a peek at this Ventura 9 Piece Family Camp Combo at Walmart, a great deal at $97.94!

This camping set comes with everything you need to enjoy a good night sleep in the great outdoors this summer. In addition to the 6 person tent, it also comes with 1 sun shade, 2 adult sleeping bags, 2 travel sized pillows & 2 folding chairs.  The sleeping bags are rated for -45 degrees. Like all tents, it also comes with a rain fly (partial) that allows for better ventilation and movement of air inside tent.

The 6 person tent is ample room for a family of 4-5 with room for storage and is rain resistant, always a plus just in case. The manufacturer has recommended 2 people to assemble or disassemble.

Although I haven’t personally used this tent, at this price if you were to get two seasons out of it, then it was money well spent.

One item that is included that I think you could put to good use outside the campgrounds is the sun shade. If you coach soccer or if your child plays soccer, you know how hot it can get on the sidelines. I’ve noticed more and more of these popping up at the local soccer pitches and I think its a great idea. It keeps the sun off the players and gives them a common area to congregate.

Another spot I think the sun shade could come in handy is the beach. Its always nice to be able to create a little bit of shade when your planning on spending the day by the surf.

The majority of the reviews on this product are very positive, like this one:

Bought this as a Father’s Day gift for my husband. He took our son camping and loved it. Tent was bigger than expected!

As always, Walmart offers free shipping with no minimum required.

Forever21.com: Buy 3 Pieces of Jewellery, Get 2 Free

Forever21.com: Buy 3 Pieces of Jewellery, Get 2 Free

If you are a fan of costume jewelery like me, then you will want to check out this awesome deal I found at Forever 21! Today is the last day, so don’t wait. Buy 3 pieces of jewellery, get 2 free!

There are literally 100′s of pieces to choose from with this deal. However what I noticed as I was browsing the various styles, colours and tones is a little helpful feature they offer on right side of the site where they suggest complimentary or similiar pieces. This helped me to narrow down my choices.

I’ve been trying to incorporate more colour into my wardrobe, but I’m not a very flashy gal. So this season’s focus on greens of all shades works well for me. And although I’ve never been a fan of yellow gold tones until this season, I have found myself gravitating more towards gold costume jewelery. Of course it helps that it’s very popular right now so interesting pieces aren’t hard to find.

Therefore with the green and gold colour combination in mind I set out to find a few different pieces that I could mix and match throughout the season. Here is what I came up with:

For all five pieces it came to $38.40, which makes each piece only $7.80!

The Buy 3 Get 2 Free applies to multiple groupings, so I went ahead and added 5 more pieces to my basket. This time I incorporated some black and gold pieces:

With 10 pieces in my basket my total was now $78.80 keeping my $7.80 per piece price (total fluke). However, now that I have spent over $60 my shipping is free  – sweet!

Spending under $100 for 10 pieces of costume jewelery for at least one season is a win-win in my books!

Please note: this offer is available online only.

Kraft Samplicious: $9.99 for $40 Value of Kraft products

Posted by on June 24, 2014 at 5:30 PM

Kraft Samplicious: $9.99 for $40 Value of Kraft products

Kraft is offering their annual Samplicious box filled with full-size samples, coupons and easy-to-make recipes. For $9.99 you will receive over $40 worth of products and savings, plus recipes and ideas to tantalize your taste buds.

If your children are anything like mine, they love their peanut butter and Kraft Dinner. And if you are anything like me, I always need a back up “busy night” meal. That being said, we opt for the all natural Kraft peanut butter to try and save some of the sugar calories where we can, especially because if it were up to them they would have peanut butter morning, noon and night. We will also occasionally buy Kraft Dinner, however to appease my concerns with healthy choices, we pick up the Smart KD.

I have signed up for the Kraft Samplicious box, despite the fact that the peanut butter has chocolate in it. My eldest son will eat the shredded cheese on nachos no problem and the other items will be good to have on hand this summer to do some experimenting with the taste buds. One of my goals this summer is to expand their food choices so going back to school their school lunches will have a few more options.

Of course hubby and I will use the ground coffee, no question. So overall this Samplicious box is definitely a money saver for my family.

Each Samplicious box contains:

  • 1 pkg. Kraft Shredded Cheese with a Touch of Philadelphia (300g) (Coupon)
  • 1 pkg. Crystal Light Liquid Drink Mix – Blackberry Lemonbabe (48ml)
  • 1 pkg. Second Cup® Paradiso® Medium Roast Ground Coffee (340g)
  • 1 pkg. Kool-Aid Liquid Drink Mix – Cherry (48ml)
  • 1 jar Kraft Peanut Butter with Chocolate (500g)
  • 1 pkg. Kraft Dinner Spicy Cheddar Macaroni & Cheese (156g)
  • 1 tub Kraft Philadelphia French Onion Dip (227g) (Coupon)
  • 1 pkg. Jell-O Instant Pudding – Vanilla (102g)

This is only available for a limited time and quantities are limited as well.

HollisterCo.ca: Daley Ranch Swim Shorts Today Only (Now $15, Was $42.95)

Hollister Co. has selected a few pieces for a flash sale today only. Take a look at these Daley Ranch Swim Shorts  which have been reduced to $15 (regularly $42.95).

These classic blue and white trunks for men would look great on my eldest son. They offer 4 Way Stretch and lace-up closure with velcro (always nice to have that added bit of security). The fit is above the knee (they call this their Chill Fit) which works well for my son’s frame. My husband on the other hand can’t get away with anything other than a long board short or Hollister’s Classic Fit. I’m sure my son will also inherit this problem, but for now the chill fit works.

If you need a trunk in between the two lengths that hits at the knee, otherwise known as the Prep Fit, they also have the Bay Street Swim Shorts for $15 (regularly $42.95).

For my nieces, I especially like the Point Dume Top for $14 (regulary $36.95). I can see them pairing this with a pair jean shorts. It looks comfy and casual but the floral lace and sequins dress it up just a little. Plus lace is so popular right now.

In addition to these three awesome deals which are available today only, they are offering several other items during their flash sale. Here are a few of my favourites:

Women’s:

Men’s:

Also, be sure to check out their Epic Summer Sale that has the entire store at up to 60% off.

Shipping is free when your order is over $50.

When my sister bought her first pair of Keens,  I thought “What are those things?”, and to be honest kinda thought they were a weird fad. But then she couldn’t stop raving about them. She wore them everywhere, when we were camping, hiking, at one of the kids soccer games… so I took the bait and bought a pair. I understood right away what all the fuss was about. The next summer I bought them for the kids and my hubby also found a pair that he liked.

I like these because they are an easy summer sandal that offer so much more versatility than just your regular sandal. They are lightweight, don’t hold water and are comfortable. The closed-toe design helps alleviate small debris from getting trapped under and in between your toes as you hike the trails, a feature I truly appreciate.

If red and orange aren’t your fancy, they also offer the same women’s Keen sandal in purple and grey.

Review:

By far one of the most comfortable, if not the most comfortable shoe or sandal I have ever owned….Any reservations I had that they look funky evaporated when I wore them. If they do not feel right when you put them on, you probably have the wrong size. Most people that buy Keens find that they need to buy a half size larger than they do with other shoes.

and if you thought Keen’s were just for the young and spry, think again:

I’m a senior using these sandals for walking. They are wonderful! Great support and fit. Highly recommend these.

Sport Chek is also offering $40 off men’s Keen Rapide H2 Outdoor Sandals in various colours:

I couldn’t find a comparable price on this style of Keen sandal, however Kintec is offering a 25% discount on Keen sandals, but you’ll still have to pay shipping too:

Keen Men’s Newport H2 - $74.95 (regularly $99.95)
Keen Women’s Venice H2 – $74.95 (regularly $99.95)

Remember, shipping is free when you use this exclusive coupon code (FSMOOSE0614) no minimum required. Normally you need to place a minimum order over $99 to receive free shipping. Items may be returned within 60 days of the order date to a Sport Chek retail store or a Sport Chek warehouse.

Shop.ca: Snugli Geo High Chair 50% off (Now $69.99, Was $159.99)

Shop.ca has an amazing deal on this Snugli Geo High Chair. The original price is $159.99, on sale for $79.99, but when you add this Shop.ca coupon code (MOOSE2014) you save an additional $10, making the final price $69.99.

Although I don’t own this product, there are several features I appreciate about the Snugli High Chair. It has a removable insert that can be cleaned in the dishwasher. There are three positions for adjusting the tray, and it is easy to remove with one hand. The seat of the highchair has three positions so that your infant can sit up or recline. The seat is also height adjustable, and can easily fit under the table for use without the tray as a booster seat when your little one is older (for children up to 40 lbs).

One feature that this high chair offers that is different than most is the ability to change out the style with the designer inserts. So, if you ever get bored with the Geo print, you can change out that cover for another. No need to buy a whole new highchair. Its that easy. However, the style sets may be hard to come by which is a drawback. With or without the style sets, this is a great price for a high chair!

Check out this review from one happy Snugli customer:

Love that the seat cover is a soft material and a great pattern. The chair doesn’t take up a lot of space which was important to us because of our small eating area.

As always Shop.ca offers free shipping on all purchases, no minimum required. Plus if you collect Aeroplan points, you will receive a bonus 800 points with the first order of $99+ after adding your Aeroplan card to your account.
