The Bay Canada: Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Shoreline Floral Print Only $28.79 (Was $60)!

Posted by on July 30, 2014 at 10:30 AM

The Bay Canada: Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Shoreline Floral Print Only $28.79 (Was $60)!

The Bay has an awesome summer clearance sale going on, offering up to 70% off women’s shoes, boots, and sandals.  These awesome Converse All Stars are only one of the great deals to be had.

I have said before how I live almost exclusively during the warm weather in ballet flats.  An exception to that is my beloved pair of Converse. I love both how comfortable and cute they are, and how I can get a colour or pattern to go with almost any outfit.  The Shoreline Floral Print is feminine and fun.  I want to pair it with denim capris and a breezy tee shirt.

Once you’ve checked out the cute floral print, be sure to click over to the Converse Women’s Chuck Taylor All Star Hi-Ness Eyelet Cutout Summer Material (was $70.00, now only $33.59).  These are some of the funkiest high top Chucks I’ve seen, with a little wedge heel and ultra-chic cut outs.  For those days where you just really want to wear a pair of sneakers with a skirt, these will totally fit the bill!

I’m starting to think ahead to fall where skinny jeans and tunics paired with cute boots and scarves are what I’ll be living in, and the Jaydah boots from G by Guess (was $150, now only $45) will be a great cool weather wardrobe staple. I absolutely love the buckles and straps on these fashionable motorcycle-style boots.

There are more great deals to be had during The Bay’s Summer Clearance Sale, with brands like Coach, Nine West, Puma, Steve Madden, and Tommy Hilfiger all up to 70% off.

The sizes are getting picked over, so it’s best to get over to TheBay.com in a hurry.

Shipping

Shipping is free on orders over $99.  If you happen to have an HBC credit card, shipping is free on orders over $45.  Standard shipping costs between $5.95 and $9.95 depending on the total of your order.

  • Coupon Code:  xmasinjulyonline
  • Discount:  $100 Gift Certificate for $75
  • Expiry:  31st July 2014

Beauty Mark Canada specializes in carrying the latest top of the line products not easily available in stores.  Whether you are looking for the newest, most hip trends in makeup and skincare, organic and natural products, items for new Moms & babies, or something for the man in your life, there is sure to be something to meet your needs here.

For the girly girls:

BeautyMark.ca offers a range of great makeup items for every style.  I just fell in love with the ‘In The Moment’ Eye Shadow Palette from Stila ($50).  It includes ten of Stila’s award-winning eye shadows in neutrals and purples that can be worn wet or dry.  This palette also comes with an exclusive Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner in Tetra, a deep shimmering purple, and an eight page book to help you use the palette.

For the boys:

A must-have at the end of Movember, Mario Badescu Protein After Shave Lotion ($12) is meant to be applied immediately after shaving to promote healing on minor skin irritation caused by shaving like ingrown hairs and razor burn.  This product really pulls double duty as we ladies can sneak a little on our underarms, bikini line, or legs to address any shaving-related discomfort.

For the natural & organic set:

I’m ordering this asap: Principessa Notte Breeze Hair Powder ($12) is an all-natural, talc-free dry shampoo specially designed for dark hair!  My hair gets super dry if I shampoo daily, but I like to use a little dry shampoo on my no-wash days to keep my hair looking fresh.  This is a challenge with most powdery dry shampoos as I have to be very careful to apply only to the very root of my dark hair or the powder is visible. With vitamin E, aloe, chamomile, and calendula, this award-winning dry shampoo is suitable for all hair types and even doubles as a softly scented body powder.

Shipping:

As far as the Gift Certificate is concerned, there is no shipping as an online code will be emailed to you after purchasing.  Once you are ready to shop, you can take advantage of free shipping on orders over $99.  Standard shipping is a flat rate of either $9.95 or $12.95 depending on your order total.

Be sure to swing by the Bargainmoose forums for more Beauty Mark Cosmetics coupons later on as well.

Bobbi Brown Canada: $25 Beauty Bonus Card With Any $100 Order

Posted by on July 29, 2014 at 10:30 AM

Bobbi Brown Canada: $25 Beauty Bonus Card With Any $100 Order

Free stuff alert!  Until August 3rd, Bobbi Brown Cosmetics is giving away a free $25 Beauty Bonus Card with any $100 order!  There is no promo code necessary to redeem this offer.

Are you up on the standards for how often you should replace your makeup?  I knew that mascara should be replaced every three months, but I was recently startled to read that there is a recommended two year shelf life on most powders and pencils.  I would wager that I have eye shadow in my makeup bag from around the turn of the century or even before.  I clearly need to do a pretty major makeup purge.  Now is as good a time as any, considering I love getting a freebie when I’m shopping for stuff I already need.

I recently blogged about another deal at Bobbi Brown that’s over, but I did some research on a few of their more popular products, so you may want to check this out before you shop. My research this time took me to Bobbi Brown’s Customer Favourite Buffing Grains for Face ($50).  This cute jar is filled with ground Japanese Adzuki Bean Powder and can be added to your own cleanser or used just with water to give your face a gentle yet thorough exfoliation.  I know some days my skin needs more exfoliation than others, so I like that I can choose just how much of this product to use. Reviews are mostly positive: 94% of Bobbi Brown reviewers recommend this product, and here is what one had to say:

Scrubbing Bubbles:  That’s what it feels like on my face when I add these little grain bits to my lathering tube soap. It feels sooo good! When I rinse my face, it’s a true Ahhh moment! The glass bottle is so attractive. I keep it sitting out on my sink. : )

There are another couple of awesome reasons to shop BobbiBrown.ca right now as well; Use the code SKINDUO to get free samples of Bobbi Brown’s Hydrating Eye Cream Deluxe and Hydrating Face Cream Deluxe along with free shipping on orders over $40.  On top of that, Bobbi Brown always throws in a complimentary sample at checkout with any order.  I was able to choose between a Hydrating Face Cream Sample Packette and an extra Eye Repair Cream Sample Packette.

Shipping

Bobbi Brown offers free shipping on all orders over $75, so if you spend the $100 to get the free bonus card, you’re already there.  If you want to spend less but still get free shipping, that SKINDUO code will get you free shipping over $40.  There are no additional duties on BobbiBrown.ca orders.

Bowflex Canada SelectTech Promo Code: $50 Off 1090 SelectTech Dumbbells + Free Shipping!

Posted by on July 26, 2014 at 11:00 AM

Bowflex Canada SelectTech Promo Code: $50 Off 1090 SelectTech Dumbbells + Free Shipping!

Do you love working out, especially weight training?  Here’s an awesome deal from Bowflex:  get $50 off 1090 SelectTech dumbbells plus free shipping!

Click here to shop @ Bowflex now

  • Coupon Code:  SUMMER
  • Discount:  $50 off 1090 SelectTech dumbbells plus free shipping
  • Expiry:  14th August 2014

Bowflex SelectTech 1090 dumbbells regularly retail for $699.99, but they are currently on sale, plus using this code lets you have them for only $549.99.

I have recently taken an active interest in my personal physical fitness, and while I try to get to the gym regularly, with work and kids that doesn’t always happen.  I have a small home gym with some cardio equipment, and I really like using body weight resistance techniques, but the addition of weight really amps up my weight loss.  I have priced many different sets of dumbbells, and have found that most individual dumbbells retail for about a dollar per lb.  These dumbbells cover weights from 10 to 90 lbs, in 5 lb increments.  That’s like having 1700 lbs of weights to not only pay for, but to store.  And imagine having to move them?  I love the convenience of only having to own two dumbbells that cover all the weights I need and not having to go out to buy a new set when I want to increase my weight.

If you are really interested in this deal but don’t want to pony up $549.99 all at once, Bowflex does offer special financing based on credit approval.

As if this deal wasn’t awesome enough, right now Bowflex is throwing in a SelectTech® workout DVD – “Secrets of the 4 Step Rep” – with every purchase.

The reviews are overwhelmingly positive: 4.7/5 based on 616 reviews.  Here’s what one reviewer had to say:

“Absolutely outstanding product with amazing Bowflex customer support to ensure that you enjoy the product. I have nothing but good things to say about Bowflex.”

Price comparison

I found the same set of Bowflex SelectTech 1090 Dumbbells over at Walmart.ca for $668.00.  I could only find individual dumbbells over at Amazon.ca, but they are $399.00 each, making a pair $798.00.

Shipping

Shipping for these bad boys is usually $129.99, but this code gets them shipped to you absolutely free!

Be sure to check out Bowflex Select Tech in the Bargainmoose forums for more coupons!

Rent Frock Repeat Canada Coupon: $25 Discount On All Rentals Over $75

Rent Frock Repeat Canada Coupon: $25 Discount On All Rentals Over $75

Do you attend lots of weddings or charity events?  Are you constantly searching for the next dress to buy and cringing at the cost?  Does the thought of wearing a dress once and then stashing it in the back of your closet make you shed a tear?  A great alternative is to rent a dress instead of buying a new one.  Here’s a deal to get you started: $25 off all rentals over $75 at RentFrockRepeat.

Click here to check out RentFrockRepeat now

  • Coupon Code:  JULYSALE
  • Discount:  $25 of all rentals over $75
  • Expiry:  31st July 2014

I can’t believe how cool this is!  I have a hard time shelling out several hundred dollars for a dress that I’m probably only going to wear once.  Sadly, I don’t lead a terribly glamourous lifestyle, so my chances to get really dressed up aren’t that frequent, but I also don’t want to wear the same old tired cocktail dress whenever the opportunity to glam it up presents itself.  Until recently, I had no idea you could rent a dress.  I’m really excited about this, and I hope you will be too.

Here’s how it works.  While you can look through some of the available dresses without signing up, the free registration allows you to see RFR’s entire collection of designer dresses that are available to rent for up to 90% off the retail cost.  Once you’re in, you can browse the frocks any number of ways:  by date, style, colour, body shape, etc.  You actually rent two dresses… the same dress is shipped to you in two sizes, so you have a back up!  These folks have really thought of everything.  You select the date you would like your dress to arrive (they recommend two days before your event) and presto!  The dress(es) arrive to you and all you have to do after your event is to put both dresses in the prepaid return envelope that came with them, and drop it off at the post office.

Rentals are available for four or eight days.  Each dress includes detailed measurements and most also have several models wearing the dress with their measurements included to help you make the best choice.  I can’t think of another way I would be able to justify the cost of a designer dress, but I know I would feel great walking into an event wearing a great name that I can actually afford!

Shipping

Standard shipping prices are as follows:

  • GTA:  $17.95
  • Ontario & Quebec:  $24.95
  • All other Canadian locations:  $31.95

I have a few weddings coming up, and along with them a few bridal showers. Do you struggle like I do to come up with shower gifts?  I usually give cash as a wedding gift, but showers are all about opening actual gifts (in my opinion) so I like to show up with a beautifully wrapped package. I like to give one really great quality kitchen item that will last for a long, long time.  Some of my favourite gifts from when I got married are from brands carried at Consiglio’s Kitchenware.

Emile Henry Ceramic Cookware

I love love love my Emile Henry pieces.  They are super high-quality and durable, but also so easy because you can use them in the oven, microwave, and even dishwasher.  Every year they come out with some new colours, generally versions of primary colours, so your collection can be a little eclectic.  The Emile Henry Red Round Stewpot 3.2L (now only $170.10, was $188.99) offers great even cooking and is 30% lighter than a comparable metal pot.  I throw some stewing meat, veggies & wine in there, let it go in the oven for a couple hours, and with minimal effort I have a gourmet meal on the table in an already beautiful serving dish!

Le Creuset Stainless Steel Cookware

Le Creuset is like the Rolls Royce of cookware.  I love the look on a bride’s face when she opens up a box to a gorgeous, shiny Le Creuset piece.  Their newest line of cookware includes internal markings for perfect measurements and lid vents for steam release.  The Le Creuset Stainless Steel 9.5” Saute Pan (now only $135, was $149.99) is a great gift idea.  This pan will last a lifetime and if it doesn’t, the lifetime warranty will cover it. Great even heat distribution, and a storage/hanging slot are just a few of the pan’s features.

This coupon code also includes free shipping!

DOD RX7W+ Car Rearview Mirror Camera Only $179.99 & Free Shipping @ NCIX Canada

Posted by on July 25, 2014 at 8:30 AM

DOD RX7W+ Car Rearview Mirror Camera Only $179.99 & Free Shipping @ NCIX Canada

Does putting your car into reverse send you into a full-blown, sweat-covered panic?  Never fear putting it in R again with this deal from NCIX Canada.  The regular price of the DOD RX7W+ Car Rearview Mirror was $219.99, but right now you can get it for only $179.99 as well as get free shipping right to your door!

I recently bought a truck: a huge truck.  This thing is a monster. On top of that, my boyfriend wanted to add a trailer hitch.  I am an absolute parking disaster in this thing, to the point that I generally park as far away from my destination as possible to avoid having to wedge my truck between any other vehicles.  There are, however, those rare occasions where I can’t find an isolated spot and may have to *gasp* put the truck into reverse to get out.  What’s a girl to do?  The truck bed is about a mile long and being up so high I’m just never entirely sure there isn’t a brood of little ducklings crossing behind me.  For the safety of everyone out there, I really need to get one of these rearview mirror cameras.

Now, most rearview DVRs include a dash camera which may be enticing to anyone interested in forcibly entering your vehicle, and I for one am always forgetting to put stuff like that away. This particular model, however, is actually disguised as a rearview mirror and attaches to your existing mirror with Velcro very easily, and is compatible with most vehicles on the market.  It has a Wide Dynamic Range lens and wide angle superior low light performance, helping you back out of the most troublesome locations.

Price comparison

I did a little snooping and found this same rearview mirror camera at CanadaComputers.com for $189.99 (plus shipping) and at Henrys.com for $219.99.

Shipping

Shipping on this item is completely free!

If you happen to be in the Surrey, BC area, be sure to check out NCIX’s Surrey store grand opening on Saturday July 26th from 9:00am to 6:00pm for door crashers and prizes.

(Expiry: These deals are in place until 30th July 2014.)

Tweed & Hickory Online Coupon Code: Save $1 on every box of K-Cups

Posted by on July 24, 2014 at 12:30 PM

Tweed & Hickory Online Coupon Code: Save $1 on every box of K Cups

Do you have a love affair going on with flavoured coffee like I do?  Are you constantly disappointed by the selection at your local grocery store?  Here’s a way to get a whole world of selection on K-Cups for your Keurig machine: Save $1 on every box of K-Cups at Tweed & Hickory!

Click here to shop K-Cups at Tweed & Hickory now

  • Coupon Code:  ONE
  • Discount:  $1 off every box of K-Cups
  • Expiry:  unknown

I’ve found what I consider to be the best deal on Keurig K-Cups out there.  Costco’s Kirkland Breakfast Blend is regularly $38.99 for 100 cups, coming in at just a little under $0.39 per cup.  What I can’t find is a good deal or a good selection of flavoured coffee K-Cups.  At my regular grocery store, there aren’t very many interesting flavours to choose from, and the flavoured cups sell for around $0.72 ($12.99 for an 18 pack). Tweed and Hickory saves the day here with an enormous selection of brands and flavours, many of which at a great price even before the coupon discount.  Here are some of the ones I’m most excited about:

Guy Fieri Flavortown Roasts Cups – Banana Foster (24 Pack) ($15.49, was $16.49).

That’s only $0.65 per cup.

Brooklyn Bean Roastery K-Cups – Cinnamon Subway (24 Pack) ($14.99, was $15.99).

That’s only $0.63 per cup.

Barnie’s Coffee Kitchen Single Cups – Southern Pecan (24 Pack) ($14.49, was $15.49).

That’s only $0.61 per cup.

Grove Square Portion Packs – Pumpkin Spice Cappuccino (Box of 24) ($12.99, was $13.99).

That’s only $0.54 per cup.

Cameron’s Chocolate Caramel Brownie Single Serve Coffees – Box of 12 ($6.99, was $7.99).

That’s only $0.58 per cup!

Some of the brands that caught my eye that I haven’t seen in stores are Emeril’s, Wolfgang Puck, Cake Boss, and Hurricane Coffee.

Tweed & Hickory now also accepts PayPal as a method of payment, making shopping for your morning Joe even that more convenient.

Shipping

For a limited time, Tweed & Hickory charges a flat rate of $9.99 for shipping within Canada.  At the moment orders over $150 are shipped FREE!

I don’t know how long this code is going on for, so check it out soon.  Be sure to always check the Bargainmoose coupon forum for more Tweed & Hickory codes!

Frank & Oak Promo Code: Take an Extra 15% Off 2+ Sale Items!

Straight from the fashion Mecca that is Montreal comes Frank & Oak, a fashion forward creator of designer men’s fashions that helps even the least savvy shoppers find the right clothes for them, all at reasonable prices.  I’ve found a great deal for you today with their Grand Slam Summer Sale and this code for an extra 15% off 2 (or more) sale items!

Click here to shop @ Frank & Oak now!

  •  Coupon Code:  GRANDSLAM15
  • Discount:  15% of 2 or more sale items
  • Expiry:  unknown

Frank & Oak is all about taking the guesswork out of men’s shopping.  When you sign up on their site (free and easy to do), they take you through a questionnaire about your (or you man’s) style and preferences to be able to recommend the best options to suit.  Their monthly collections feature stylish menswear that is simple, fresh and affordable.  Founded by a couple of Montreal natives, this premium line has something for pretty much every guy you know.

My boyfriend is the simplest dresser I know.  While he lives almost exclusively in t-shirts and cargo pants/shorts, I like to buy him quality items so even while he dresses very casually, he has a quality look.  Frank & Oak totally fits the bill here, and pairing this coupon code with the Grand Slam Summer Sale (which has items marked down up to 55% already) is making me very click happy.  There is a great selection in the sale section of tees, button-downs, crew sweaters, shorts, etc.

Frank & Oak offers an exclusive shopping option called The Hunt Club.  This is fully optional; you can still shop Frank & Oak if you don’t want to sign up.  If you do, however, you get to order a crate once a month when new lines are released and can try on your favourite items in the privacy of your own home, no trips to the mall required.  You then return what you don’t want and are charged only for what you keep.  Shipping both ways is completely free when you’re a Hunt Club member.  You also earn 8% store credit on all purchases, and there are other incentives and monthly bonuses along the way.

Frank & Oak members pay a flat rate of $6 for all orders.  Hunt Club partners get free shipping all the time!

TheBodyShop.ca: 50% Off Summer Essentials & $5 Shower Gels

TheBodyShop.ca: 50% Off Summer Essentials & $5 Shower Gels

Is your skin feeling dry or tired from all the time out in the summer sun?  Or are you struggling to maintain your tan with this inconsistent weather?  Here’s a deal for you:  Today is the last day to take advantage of The Body Shop’s huge sale on all summer essentials!

There are over 40 products marked down to 50% off in this online exclusive sale.  I was really impressed to see that with the sale discount; most of the prices are under $10.  I know all the time in the sun and sand is pretty hard on my skin, so saving money on lots of lotions and cleansers is a big deal.

As I mentioned, there are over 40 products on sale, but I’ve rounded up a few of my favourites for you:

TheBodyShop.ca offers a helpful filter on the left hand side while you are shopping.  You can filter by price, category, size, etc, but what I really liked is that you can filter by concern, returning products that address your issues with either Care for Sensitive Skin, Dryness, Fine Lines, Hydration, or Lack of Radiance.  I really appreciate when a website helps me take the guesswork out of shopping for the right product for me. I’m super concerned with hydration at the moment so I like that I can shop through products that are going to nourish my dry skin.

Adding to this great sale, TheBodyShop.ca is also offering $5 Shower Gels for a limited time.  Unlike the sale mentioned above, this offer is available in store as well as online.  Pick up delicious shower gel scents like Vineyard Peach and Brazil Nut, all for between $4.50 – $5.00!  This offer is available through 27th July 2014.

Neither of these offers are able to be combined with any other offer or coupon, including the buy 2 get 1 free/buy 1 get 1 50% off offer.

TheBodyShop.ca offers free shipping on orders over $75.

Naturalizer.ca Summer Clearance Event: Harrison Sandals $29.99 (reg. $110)!

Posted by on July 23, 2014 at 8:00 AM

Naturalizer.ca Summer Clearance Event: Harrison Sandals $29.99 (reg. $110)!

It’s only July, meaning that here in the great white north we are still celebrating the joys of summer for another couple of months.  With all that time spent making your feet look summer-perfect, why not treat yourself to a great new pair of summer sandals with this deal from Naturalizer.ca:  Harrison sandals (regularly $110, now only $29.99) for 70% off!

I’m starting to get tired of my summer footwear already.  I’ve been wearing the same pair of ballet flats and flip flops most days and they’re starting to look a little sad.  I think it’s fair to say that my shoe collection could use a little update.  This sale from Naturalizer.ca, offering up to 70% off sale items, is a great way to update that summer footwear wardrobe for a great price.

The Harrison Sandals are a lovely turquoise colour with gold metal detailing, fitting perfectly with a bright, breezy summer wardrobe.  They offer an adjustable heel sling strap, smooth lining, cushioning insole, so slip outside and 1.9cm heel.  The gold chain detailing on the leather upper part of the shoe really adds a nice touch.  These shoes are pretty enough to feel great in and also comfortable enough to wear all day even if you’re on your feet.

Harrison sandals are also available in Ivory, Black, and Caravan Sand (a tan – beige colour) at the same great price.

There are a bunch of great deals I found on the Naturalizer.ca summer sale, some of which could even get you through the fall.  There is still a great selection available in many sizes.  If you are crazy about ballet flats like I am, be sure to check out the 70% off Bromstad Ursela flats (was $90, now only $27) which are gloriously pink and shiny.  Blaine (was $110, now only $49.99) is a stunning peep toe high heel pump that comes either in black leather or onyx leather with snake print detail.  Quite the shoe for a hot night on the town!

Shipping costs within Canada are $5 for the first item and $2 for each additional item in the order.

Naturalizer’s summer sale offers up to 70% off sale items now until September 1st, don’t miss out on this great opportunity to save!

  • Coupon Code:  HOLIDAYS2014
  • Discount:  25% off custom clothing
  • Expiry:  unknown

I can never seem to find the right graphic t-shirt at the time I’m looking for it, or in the right size for the right person.  Wordans takes the guesswork out of the equation with their custom apparel.  They make it really easy on the site to choose the type of clothing you’re looking for, ranging from tees and hoodies to hats, aprons and phone cases.  They have a whole album of images you can use to customize your item in categories like News & Politics, Urban, Celebrity, Controversial, etc.  I have been looking for the “right” minion tee for my son for a very long time, and haven’t been able to find the right one until customizing one at Wordans.ca.

You can also upload your own image allowing you real personalization.  I’m thinking of making my boyfriend a whole series of shirts with my face on them.  I’m kidding about that, but there are lots of photos sitting on my computer that would be totally fun on t-shirts.

Wordans carries quality clothing from brands such as American Apparel, New Balance, and Anvil Organic to name a few.  There is always a discount on bulk orders (10+ 10%off, 25+ 20% off, 100+ 30% off, 250+ 35% off and 500+ 40% off) however Wordans have another code out right now:  5050 gets you 50% off orders of 50 t-shirts or more.  Have a team?  Family reunion?  Just want everyone you know to have a shirt with your mug on it?  Problem solved.

Shipping varies based on your location and your order and is free on orders over $250.  As an example, Canada Post shipping to me for my one t-shirt was estimated at $6.82.

Amazon.ca: $76 Tassimo Coffee Maker T47 (was $150) + Free Shipping

Amazon.ca: $76 Tassimo Coffee Maker T47 (was $150) + Free Shipping

As I sipped my lovely home-brewed, single serve coffee this morning, I found this great deal on the Tassimo T47 Coffee Maker:  50% off at $75.43 at Amazon.ca (reg.  $149.99)!

I love my Tassimo.  I am fully incapable of brewing traditional coffee.  Honestly, I don’t know what my issue is, but when I try to brew coffee, I either end up with it way too strong, way too weak, or with coffee grounds in my cup and all over my counter.  I absolutely love the convenience of just popping the little T-Disc into the machine, placing my cup, and pushing the button.  Not to mention that most weekdays the adults in my house are each only drinking one cup before we head out for the day, so I feel like it’s more logical to use two pods, allowing us each to choose our own flavour and having a hot cup of coffee at different times versus brewing a pot that I’m probably going to mess up anyways.

I really appreciate that the Tassimo T47 offers automatic cleaning and descaling, and that it brews coffee in approximately one minute.  Mornings are when I’m at my least patient, especially when it comes to getting my caffeine fix, so speed is of the essence.  Tassimo does all the thinking for you in those groggy morning hours by reading the barcode on the T-Disc, brewing the perfect cup every time.  I especially love trying lots of different coffee flavours, which the Tassimo allows me to do easily.

Price Comparison

I checked out a whole bunch of competitors on this one.  Amazon’s offer is a real steal.  Check them out for yourself if you’d like.

Amazon.ca has sales on other Tassimo models if the T47 isn’t right for you.  You can check out the Tassimo T20 for $69.99 (reg. $169.99) or the Tassimo T55 for $109.99 (reg. $229.99).  I also really enjoy that you can purchase a Tassimo Espresso, Coffee, Cappuccino, and Tea Variety Pack ($43.99) with 48 T-Discs to let you sample a bunch of flavours without having to buy a whole package of any one flavour.

Shipping

Your order will ship free from Amazon.ca.

Walmart Canada: Hipstreet FLARE 2 9” Google Certified Dual Core Android 8GB Tablet Only $88.94!

Hot deal alert!  I love me a good Walmart Canada Rollback, and I found a sweetheart of a deal in there today.  The Hipstreet FLARE 2 9” Google Certified Dual Core Android 8GB Tablet Only $88.94 (reg. $118)!

Click here to shop @ Walmart Canada now

I have been in the market for a tablet for a while now and I have yet to commit.  My soon-to-be-7-year-old has been quite literally begging for a tablet for about a year now and I’ve been putting it off for a few reasons:  I’m concerned about too much screen time, I don’t want to spend a lot but also don’t want to buy a piece of junk, and I worry about a tablet being destroyed by my younger son.  With all of that in mind I have been researching tablets quite a lot and really like the looks of the Hipstreet FLARE 2.  Here are the basic product specifications:

  • 9-inch LCD screen
  • Dual Core 1.5Hz A9 Processor
  • Android 4.1 (Jellybean) operating system
  • 8GB internal memory
  • Supports microSD cards up to a capacity of 32GB

This device is Google certified, which means that you have access to the Google Play store for apps, Google Maps, and other Google apps exclusive to certified devices.  This tablet also comes loaded with Hipstreet apps and services.  The High Speed Micro USB 2.0 port allows you to connect the Hipstreet FLARE 2 to a keyboard, mouse, external storage device, etc and the Dual Graphics Processor with HDMI Out port allows you to connect to any HDTV or flat screen monitor.  Talk about versatility!

Based on the specifications and the price, I feel like the Hipstreet FLARE 2 is a great starter tablet for kids.  We’re not talking about mass amounts of storage for vital information here, she just wants to play some games, take photos and communicate with her friends.  It also has front and rear-facing cameras for all the selfies I’m sure to see in her future.

Price comparison

I did some price comparison shopping and was pleased to find that this deal is really great compared to TheSource.ca who are selling this tablet for $159.99 and BestBuy.com at $139.99.  Walmart Canada has the Hipstreet FLARE 2 rolled back from $118 to $88.94.

Shipping

As if this deal wasn’t sweet enough, Walmart Canada still offers free shipping on all orders with no minimum!
