Free Things To Celebrate Canada's 150th Birthday!

This year is Canada's 150th Birthday - and there seem to be oodles of freebies to celebrate the huge occasion. If you are looking for some freebies to celebrate, then you've come to the right place.

So let's get started!

Parks Canada Passes and Permits

Looking to check out some of Canada's most beautiful places with your family or dogs? National Parks, Historic Site and Marine Conservation Areas are all FREE for the entirety of 2017 with the Canada Parks Pass. You can order that herefor free.

New Canadians Cultural Pass

If you are new to Canada within the past 365 days, you can get your hands on a FREE Cultural Access Pass which allows you to get free admission to some museums and other attractions. You also must be 18 or older.

Get your hands on the Cultural Access Pass right here.

Free Canadian Miniature Flag

Contact your MP or attend select events and you can get your hands on a FREE Canadian Miniature Flag to display as you wish!

Museum Admission

If you happen to be in Ottawa this summer, you can get free admission into various national museums such as:

  • Museum of Nature
  • Museum of History
  • Aviation and Space Museum

Be sure to contact each museum to see when their Free Admission days are. Thursday seems to be the most popular.

Also, tours of the Parliament Hill are free.

Design Your Own Coat of Arms

Global News has a little area of their website where you can design your own Coat of Arms. It is pretty cute and humorous - I've just printed ours out to put on the fridge. Mine had bacon, beer and caribou on it! What will yours have?

Design your Coat of Arms here.

If you come across any other freebies that we can add to the list, be sure to let us know in the comments below.
