Arctic Cooling USB Charger 2.5A 4-Port Was $18 | Now $10 & Free Shipping Arctic Cooling USB Charger 2.5A 4-Port Was $18 | Now $10 & Free Shipping

NCIX has a sporting deal on a basic Arctic Cooling Charger Pro 4 Portable USB Charger with 2.5A total output. Originally $19, this charger is now on sale for $9.99. Use coupon code BTSMS to receive free shipping as long as this product is in stock.

We must compare charges because some people think that all USB chargers are equal. However, these are NOT equal. For example, the Aukey USB charger(now sold out) had three ports with this output: 5V/2A, 9V/2A, 12V/1.5A for a grand total of 5.5A for the entire device. The Arctic Cooling Charger Pro 4 has a 2.5A Total Output, which is under half the output of the Aukey.

This means your devices will take longer to charge and if you have a heavy user - like a tablet that requires 2.1A to charge - then you really should only be charging that device at a time despite the four ports. This charger is best used on items with less draw like iPods, smartphones, and small portable speakers.

A secondary seller on sells the same device for $8.99 + $5.10 shipping for a total of $14.09.  I also found the newest version of this charger - still with 2.5A total output - for $25.99 at Amazon Canada.

I found this charger very useful and I bring it every time when I go travel from home to college. One plug charges all 4 USB devices at once is very convenience. It’s an all in one solution for people who have many USB devices to charge, it is working very well and not expensive at all.

Now, this charger does come with a feature that you might find useful if you travel. There are three (3) different plugs available for this charger – US/CA, UK, and EU. You simply slide one plug out and put in the other when you are traveling. These three heads will take you through 100+ countries around the world. As you will most likely have several devices with you that charge via USB, this is a pretty nice feature!

While this USB charger is not the powerhouse that Anker and Aukey USB chargers are, it is a good alternative for Moosers on a budget.
