Would You Give Scratch Tickets as Favours?

You hit the jackpot when you found your partner ... and maybe they will, too!
Would You Give Scratch Tickets as Favours?

If you're tying the knot this summer or have a friend who is, you know that wedding planning is no joke. There's just so many little details to consider, especially if you're doing it all without a professional to take the reins.

Etsy was my saving grace when I was trying to put my ceremony and reception together, and they just came through with one of the cutest wedding favour ideas I've ever seen. Instead of handing out matchbooks that nobody will really use anyway, why not give out lottery tickets in little bags like these?

I didn't really know this was a thing, but why not? I've seen lottery trees given away as silent auction prizes at wedding socials and Buck and Doe dos, so why not bring scratch tickets to the big event, too? Who knows, maybe someone will win big and offer to help you pay for the wedding!

There are a few different patterns and bag styles to choose from on Etsy Canada, but I think these ones are my favourite. They read "For Richer or Poorer" and have the option for you to add custom text like your names, wedding date or a special message. And the best part? They're on sale until the end of the night!

I also found these "Lucky in Love" Scratch Card Holders that actually ship for free to Canada from a seller based in Ireland, and you really can't go wrong with a pack of these "Love" Wedding Favour Bags that you can fill with lottery tickets or anything else from coffee beans or candy to little trinkets.

Shipping costs vary based on a few factors, but the biggest one tends to be where an Etsy seller is located. I usually look for Canadian retailers first, since they tend to have the most reasonable local delivery fees.
