American Eagle Tee / Tank Only $6.76 & Free Shipping! (US)

Over on American Eagle Outfitters, they’re having a great coupon code which is for today only for a 40% discount on almost everything on their site, plus free shipping (no minimum) to Canada! It sounded like a pretty good deal combo, so I took a look in their clearance section and I spotted a couple of pretty basic tees and tanks which work out to be excellent deals in this sale.

To get these deals, you need to add the coupon code FUNDAY40 when you are going through checkout.

First up, it’s the AEO Ombre Scoop Neck T-Shirtwhich was originally priced at $22.50. It’s priced at $11.27 just now, and drops to$6.76 when you apply the coupon code. You can see it in the image above, it’s on the top left. At first glance, I thought it was a basic grey t-shirt, but if you look closely at the image on the AE.com site, you’ll see that it’s actually got a shimmer silver finish on the bottom half, which is really cute. This tee is available in sizes small to double XL, so there’s a good choice in sizing.

Next up is the AEO Shimmer Trim Henley Tank which was also originally priced at $22.50. The same discount amount applies as in the paragraph above, bringing this American Eagle tank top down to only $6.76. You’ve got a colour choice this time – you can choose swan blue (pictured in the middle above) or delray grey (top right). I really like the swan blue, myself. Again, there’s a good choice in sizing… so even consider buying one in each colour.

Even though the girls shown in the AE images above make me feel old, these tees and tanks could be worn at any age… you don’t have to be in your teens or early twenties to pull it off.

Now, when you are going through checkout at AE.com, duties for Canadian orders aren’t initially shown, but they’re displayed on the last page of checkout. When I first spotted this deal, I thought the tees would go up in price A LOT by the last stage of checkout, but it’s actually not too bad. On a test order to Ontario, the final price of each item comes to around $9 including taxes and duties – which is very good considering that’s a top brand name with free shipping to your home.
