Chapters Indigo Canada: Buy a Fitbit Flex & Get The Body Reset Diet Free

Posted by on September 22, 2014 at 3:00 PM

Chapters Indigo Canada: Buy a Fitbit Flex & Get The Body Reset Diet Free

This week at Chapters Indigo if you buy a Fitbit Flex, you’ll get Harley Pasternak’s The Body Reset Diet: Power Your Metabolism, Blast Fat & Shed Pounds in Just 15 Days free!

Sometimes when you see gift with purchase deals, they sound like a great deal, but either the regular price is inflated or sells for more than other stores. It is sort of just a lure because people love to get free stuff. In the case of this deal, there is no lure, this is a great deal.

First of all, the Fitbit Flex sells for $99.95 at Chapters Indigo. This is what it sells for everywhere else. I didn’t see it on sale at one store. Second, the book at regular price is $24, but on sale for $17.33. No matter what the price of the book, you are getting it free while paying the price for the Fitbit that you’d pay anywhere. If you were considering a Fitbit, now might be the time.

I’ve really heard great things about this book and I actually really want to get it. I just feel like my body needs a reset. I am not one for fad diets, but they say that doing something over and over again makes it a habit so I could see resetting my body and staying on a maintenance type plan being a lifestyle for me once I’ve forced myself to do it for the 15 days.

As for the Fitbit, I’d love one of these too. With my birthday coming up, this would make a fabulous gift for me (hint, hint). I have just started working out again and trying to eat clean every single day. I also walk my kids to and from school each day, which is actually quite a trek when you are doing it four times over (1.25 km each way), and I’d love to see what the results of how much I actually do in a day will amount to. Never mind being a mom of three who really never stops!

It has some great reviews and this one looks very honest:

I am really enjoying my fitbit flex. I had seen it other reviews it was difficult to set up, so I was somewhat nervous about that part.  As completely un-techy as I am I found the set up quite simple.  You just have to remember to recharge every ~ 5 days or the count will be off.  Had I heard about it before, I probably would have bought the fitbit force instead: it counts stairs climbed as well.  Overall, great product and it syncs easily with many other fitness apps.  May give you that extra push you need to stay active.

Chapters Indigo offers free shipping when you spend over $25, which you are undoubtedly doing here, so you’ll get that little perk with this offer.

Book Outlet Canada: Beyond The Bargain Section

Posted by on September 19, 2014 at 7:00 PM

Book Outlet Canada: Beyond The Bargain Section

For all our book loving Moosers out there, Book Outlet has a new section called “Beyond the Bargain” that rotates books every Friday at 7:00 AM EST. This section is a compilation of extreme deals for book lovers with most all books in the section 75% off or more.

The books in this section are so cheap it is almost a crime. I instantly ran across one I wanted. The Lazy Environmentalist on a Budget: Save Money. Save Time. Save the Planet. sounds like just my kind of read. Face it: going green is pretty expensive so learning how to do so on a budget sounds like a book I want. Part of the description says:

From raising eco-conscious kids to greening your daily commute, Dorfman provides insights into the next wave of green innovation and the products and services that will lighten your planetary impact and lower your expenses.

I am sold. The book originally retailed for $16.99 and is now on sale for $2.99. The Beyond Bargain price is just $1.49.

Another book along the same line is titled Super Natural Home: Improve Your Health, Home, and Planet–One Room at a Time. Originally $15.95, the book is now $5.99. Beyond Bargain pricing brings this book down to $2.99. Here is a sweet little synopsis of what you can expect:

At a time when impeccable scientific research points to an alarming correlation between common chemical compounds and cancers, allergies, psychiatric disorders, and birth defects, among other serious health concerns, Super Natural Home gives consumers the tools to start protecting themselves and their families.

Sounds like a must read for any family. There is a catch to all this. The fine print says:

Get the Beyond Bargain Price by having $30.00 or more of non-”Beyond Bargain” items in your shopping cart.

So, unfortunately, you cannot just load your cart up with these deals and scoot. However, if you are placing a book order this is a section you will not want to miss. I want both of those books and I only made it onto page two of the four pages of books available in this section. You can load up on books from the 50/50 section or the scratch and dent sections to reach the $30 minimum as books in those two are always priced super low.

Shipping is $3.99 for the first item, and then an additional $0.75 per item. Be sure to check out the coupon forum for future coupon codes like this one.

Chapters Indigo Canada: 30% Off Marvels Origins Titles

Posted by on September 8, 2014 at 9:00 PM

Chapters Indigo Canada: 30% Off Marvels Origins TitlesCurious to find out how the tales of Wolverine, Thor, X-Men and a couple of others started out? Chapters Indigo is offering a 30% discount on select Marvel Origins books right now, but only during the next couple of days.

In recent years, Marvel has been on the roll with the making and re-making of movies depicting the epic stories of Wolverine, Spider-Man, The Anvengers and all of others, but if you never read these comics or want to read their backstories anyways, then these deals are definitely well worth it, especially since Amazon, for instance, is currently selling all of these at their full price.

  • Wolverine – An Origin Story: reg. $9.99/ now $6.64
  • Thor – An Origin Story: reg. $9.99/ now $6.64
  • Marvel The X-Men – An Origin Story: reg. $9.99/ now $6.64
  • Iron Man – An Origin Story: reg. $9.99/ now $6.64
  • Spider-Man – An Origin Story: reg. $9.99/ now $6.64
  • The Avengers – An Origin Story: reg. $9.99/ now $6.64
  • Guardians of the Galaxy: Beginnings: reg. $13.99/ now $10.44
  • Captain America – An Origin Story: An Origin Story: reg. $9.99/ now $6.64

If you were to add all of these titles to your shopping cart, the subtotal would come up to just $56.92, which is pretty good considering it would have otherwise cost you $83.92, which is actually more than just a 30% discount as it comes up to 32%! Chapters Indigo Canada: 30% Off Marvels Origins Titles

All of these titles are in hardcover format and feature 48 pages of pure awesomeness. Personally, I am definitely tempted to buy all of these Marvel Origins titles at once, not only to read and enjoy, but also because they would look great on my bookshelf as they are all in the same format. Plus, it would also fit right in with the Marvel Famous First: 75th Anniversary Masterworks Slipcase set that is currently on sale for $237.50 (reg. $500). You can read more about it in Avigayil’s recent post.

Another advantage of getting them all in one order is that your order will also then qualify for free shipping as Chapters automatically ships all orders totalling over $25 for free.

Having recently watched and loved the Guardians of the Galaxy movie, I am particularly excited to the Guardians of the Galaxy: Beginnings book, especially since the description of the book is particularly intriguing: “how did a raccoon with a rocket launcher, a talking tree, a bald green destroyer, the most dangerous woman in the universe, and an interplanetary policeman form the heroic space squad, The Guardians of the Galaxy?”

Lonely Planet Canada Promo Code: B1G1 On All City Guides

Posted by on September 3, 2014 at 2:30 PM

Lonely Planet Canada Promo Code: B1G1 On All City Guides

Ring, ring, London’s calling (or plenty of other top cities Lonely Planet Canada Promo Code: B1G1 On All City Guides )! If you’re planning on travelling and need a city guide, then check out Lonely Planet because until the end of the week, you can take advantage of a “buy one, get one free” deal on all city guide. Just add two books to your cart, apply the promo code below and voila, the price on the second book will be strike-through and the word “free” will appear instead.

Buy one city guide, get one free @ LonelyPlanet.com now

  • Coupon Code: FREECITY
  • Discount: BOGO offer on all city guides
  • Expiry: 5th September 2014

I tried the Lonely Planet promo code above on country guide but alas, it truly is only on city guides. Lonely Planet’s site can be a little confusing to navigate, but if you click the link above, then you will see a list of all of the city guides eligible for this promotion. Although all prices on Lonely Planet’s site are in USD, shipping is nevertheless free on orders over $40 to Canada. There are over 80 city guides to choose from and they are all for top cities like Moscow, Vienna, Paris, Seoul, etc. Even a couple of American cities have made it on the list like: Boston, Seattle and Chicago.

London has been one of the cities that I have always wanted to visit but I wouldn’t even know where to start. Searching the net for places to visit and things to go is great and all but the overflow of information can oftentimes be confusing and sometimes, it’s nicer to just read a book or a city guide in this case.

If you’re looking to learn about plenty of cities or if you plan on travelling to several ones in one trip but don’t want to carry that many city guides with you, then you can also take advantage of the BOGO offer on digital versions of these city guides. In fact, the promotion will still work even if you add an actual book alongside an eBook to your cart or even if you choose the bundle option, which is a guide for any given city in both a print and digital format. The bundled price is cheaper than if you were to get these separately. For instance, the Bangkok city guide in print form is $21.99, in digital form is $15.39 and as a bundle is $28.59. These are also the average prices that you can expect to see on almost all of the city guides.

Posted by on September 2, 2014 at 3:00 PM

Chapters Indigo Canada: 53% Off Marvel Famous Firsts: 75th Anniversary Masterworks

I think I just had a heart attack when I saw this deal. First off all an ANNOUNCEMENT! Marvel is releasing a HUGE compendium of their hardcover Masterworks books (and extras!) called Marvel Famous Firsts: 75th Anniversary Masterworks Slipcase Set. This set is on pre-order at Chapters AND on sale at the same time. Pre-order your copy for $237.50 with your plum rewards. The retail price will be $500! The set will be released on the 23rd of September 2014.

Chapters Canada is kicking the competition to the curb on this deal. Amazon.ca has the set for pre-order as well, but they are charging $313.50. That is an entire $76 more for this enormous (and worth every penny) collection of Masterworks volumes.

This slipcase set includes 10 popular Masterworks hardcovers that have been released before. The set also includes NOT BRAND ECHH VOL. 1 and the AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #1 75TH Anniversary by Alex Ross Poster signed by Stan Lee. Here is a complete list of the books included:

CAPTAIN AMERICA VOL. 1 HC

  • 264 pgs./collecting Tales of Suspense #59-81.

DAREDEVIL VOL. 1 HC

  • 256 pgs./collecting Daredevil #1-11.

DOCTOR STRANGE VOL. 1 HC

  • 328 pgs./collecting Strange Tales #110-111 and #114-141, and Amazing Spider-Man Annual #2.

  • 456 pgs./collecting NOT BRAND ECHH #1-13; and material from Amazing Spider-Man Annual #5, Avengers Annual #2, Daredevil Annual #1, Fantastic Four Annual #5 and Sgt. Fury Annual #4.

THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN VOL. 1 HC

  • 272 pgs./collecting Amazing Fantasy #15 and Amazing Spider-Man #1-10.

THE AVENGERS VOL. 1 HC

  • 248 pgs./collecting Avengers #1-10.

THE FANTASTIC FOUR VOL. 1 HC

  • 272 pgs./collecting Fantastic Four #1-10.

THE INCREDIBLE HULK VOL. 1 HC

  • 176 pgs./collecting Hulk #1-6.

THE INVINCIBLE IRON MAN VOL. 1 HC

  • 208 pgs./collecting Tales of Suspense #39-50

THE MIGHTY THOR VOL. 1 HC

  • 280 pgs./collecting Journey into Mystery #83-100

THE X-MEN VOL. 1 HC

  • 248 pgs./collecting X-Men #1-10

That gives you eleven volumes and one awesome signed poster by the godfather of comics: Stan Lee. If my calculations are correct, then you are receiving 3,008 pages of amazing classic comic content for your money. At this price, you are paying only 12.7 cents a page excluding the signed poster, the beautiful hardcover volumes, and the matching slipcover that houses all these books. Some people would pay over $200 just for Stan Lee’s signature!

This makes a great gift for yourself or for someone you love. Consider it the ultimate Christmas gift for your comic loving family member. While Christmas may not be for a few months, I like to plan ahead and buy gifts early for the best deals. Surprisingly, this box set still qualifies for free shipping despite its enormous size and weight.

Chapters Indigo Canada Coupon: Double Discount On Books – 10%

Chapters Indigo Canada Coupon: Double Discount On Books 10%

Are you hording away a wishlist of books just waiting for a good deal? Wait no longer gentle Moosers, for Chapters Canada has doubled their Plum Rewards discount with the following coupon code. Instead of receiving 5% off books with your Plum discount, now receive 10% off. Buy soon, as this offer is only on for three days.

Click here to visit Chapters Indigo Canada now

  • Coupon Code: HURRY
  • Discount: extra 5% off books
  • Expiry: 29th August 2014

I am both very excited and a little annoyed at this coupon code. I am very excited because I have a list of books to buy the length of my arm that I am now delighted to pick up with this fantastic offer from Chapters Indigo. I am annoyed because this coupon came in August when I have already spent my monthly budget instead of September. I was hoping on holding off until September for my book order.

Most the books I am ordering are pre-orders anyway, so there was not a rush. I am super excited about the release of Neil Gaiman’s The Last Temptation 20th Anniversary Deluxe Edition Hardcover scheduled for the 11th of November. The edition I just linked to is the signed by Neil Gaiman edition that I will be purchasing. This book holds a very special place in my heart as it was the first graphic novel I ever read, and I first read it twelve years ago. It features one of my favourite showmen, the legendary Alice Cooper, and the original holds a prominent place in my collection. This signed collection costs $52.10 without the plum discount, but after coupon code, it comes down to $46.89.

I have so many books on my wishlist that I must set a budget: a maximum amount I can spend during this promotion. The book above is an absolute must and there are several other books on my wishlist that are crying out to be purchased. I own volumes one to six, so Asterix Omnibus 7 for $13.67 after coupon (originally $15.19 without Plum), is a priority. I do find the books a bit repetitious after a while, unfortunately, so I often wonder if I am going to finish the series. Ever have a problem like that with a series you are collecting?

Receive free shipping on orders of $25 or more.

For this and any future Chapters Indigo coupon codes, visit our coupon forum. We try to keep it up to date with all the latest coupons we can find.

Harlequin Canada Coupon Code: BOGO Today Only!

Posted by on August 22, 2014 at 12:55 PM

Harlequin Canada Coupon Code: BOGO Today Only!

Here’s a steamy offer for all of you Harlequin lovers: use the code below to take advantage of a “buy one, get one free” deal on everything site wide! The only hitch is that this deal expires at the end of the day, so hurry to redeem the code while you still can.

Buy one, get one free @ Harlequin.com now

  • Coupon Code: BG822NB
  • Discount: BOGO
  • Expiry: 22nd August 2014

This offer couldn’t have come in at a better time than TGIF and the best part is that if you don’t want to wait for your books to arrive in the mail, then this code may also be used on eBooks. However, make sure you add everything you want to your cart in a single order because there are no do-overs if you forget one, as this code may only be used once per customer!

Not sure where to start? Shopping by category is very helpful as you can find novels centred around fantasy, classic romance, chick lit, passion or even erotic fiction. In fact, for those of you looking to spice things up in the bedroom, that last category could definitely be a great way to get some new ideas! Harlequin Canada Coupon Code: BOGO Today Only!

Although it looks like it has been temporarily closed because of a scandal, you can also check out Harlequin’s Chatsfield for a series shrouded in mystery, romance and never-ending rumours. Written by Melanie Milburne, the first one in the series is “Engaged at The Chatsfield” and is available in an eBook format for just $0.99.

What I like about Harlequin’s site is that they don’t just have romance books. In the nonfiction categories, you can also find books on “self help“, “family and parenting” and even “fun and games“. Given that I’m a new mom, one such non fiction title that I would be interested in reading is Susan Wiggs and Andrea N. Richesin’s “Because I Love Her” as it focuses on the relationship and bond between mothers and daughters. It’s available in either trade paperback for $11.16 or digitally for $10.04, though at those prices, I definitely suggest you opt for the physical version of the book. I much prefer reading an actual book over an eBook, but the latter is definitely better for travelling.

As for shipping, first time customers of Harlequin get their order shipped absolutely free and returning customers can benefit from free shipping on orders over $15. For more Harlequin coupon codes, check out the forum.

Lonely Planet Coupon Code: Free eBook with Guidebook Purchase

Posted by on August 20, 2014 at 10:30 PM

Lonely Planet Coupon Code: Free eBook with Guidebook Purchase

Lonely Planet has released a new coupon code. Purchase a guidebook and receive any ebook for free.

Click here to shop @ Lonely Planet now

  • Coupon Code: EBOOKFREE
  • Discount: free eBook with book purchase
  • Expiry: 22nd August 2014

Choose any print book and any eBook. Add both copies to your cart and then apply the coupon code. It will take off the cost off the eBook. This is, essentially, a two for one deal that can come in handy if you are traveling to a couple different places this coming year.

When we go anywhere truly exotic, we like to pick up the travel books. It really improves the quality of our trip and we use the guidebook to ensure we are not missing any big attractions during our stay. If you are traveling to Iceland, I suggest picking up the physical copy of the travel guide. A lot of the country is wild so you might not want to be carting your tablet around with the eBook version. The Iceland Travel Guide retails for $25.99 USD. It is probably my favourite place that we have traveled to so far. The air was incredibly clean and the weather was absolutely perfect (we went in May). There was so much to do and see as well. I loved hiking up a glacier, snorkeling the rift, and caving in volcano tubes.

Second on my list of favourite places that I have visited is New Zealand. They have amazing foliage, beautiful beaches including black sand (which is so soft on your feet), and one of the most volcanically active surfaces in the world: Rotarua. It is an incredible place to visit and I would love to go back. Well, except for the horribly long flight. Pick up the eBook version of the New Zealand Travel Travel Guide. The eBook retails for $19.59 USD, but you will receive it free with the above coupon code.

I am all about experiencing new things, but I had such fun in these places that I really want to go back. I feel like I can do so much more in these beautiful countries.

Lonely Planet offers free shipping on orders over US$40.  I found that my order was still free as long as the original price was over $40, even if the coupon brought it under that.

Check the Bargainmoose forums for more Lonely Planet coupons that you might find useful.

Kobo Canada Promo Code: 30% Off Romance Plus Up To 75% Off Back To School Reads

Posted by on August 18, 2014 at 12:00 PM

Kobo Canada Promo Code: 30% Off Romance Plus Up To 75% Off Back To School Reads

Looking for some steamy stories to read to end your summer? Look no further than this promo code from Kobo Books, with 30% off romance. Also, while you’re there, check out their up to 75% off back to school sale.

Click here to shop @ Kobo.com now

  • Coupon Code: ROMANCE30
  • Discount: 30% off
  • Expiry: 18th August 2014

I’ve never really been a huge romantic story fan. In fact, I’m not much into romance at all. But, I do like a steamy read with lots of sex and passion. Looking through the list at Kobo, I see a lot of that passion and sexuality framed on the covers of the titles available.

If you are into supernatural romance then Repossessed might just be the read you are after. Witches and warlocks and pixies, oh my! You can’t beat the regular price of $2.99, except when you add the 30% off coupon and get it for only $2.09.

If Scottish men are your thing (and whose thing aren’t they?) then you’ll love The Highland Brides, which comes as a boxset. It is regularly $10.27, but with coupon, get it for only $7.19.

Being a mom of three, I really don’t get a lot of time to read, unless my kids are also reading. The Back to School sale will get them some great books at quite the discount, and I can just pop them right on their Kobo tablets. We are planning a road trip next week and they’ll need something to do and reading on the tablet is a perfect way to give them something to do in the car, without it being video games.

Star Wars Jedi Academy is right up my boy’s alley. Now only $8 and available across a number of devices. My son is also addicted to The 39 Clues, so The Maze of Bones would be a good one to get him (I’ll just have to check if he’s read it!). It also only $8.

Check for all of our Kobo coupons in the forum, before getting any new books!

Chapters Indigo Canada: O Book & Throw Only $40

Posted by on August 18, 2014 at 11:00 AM

Chapters Indigo Canada: O Book & Throw Only $40

Chapters Indigo has a cute little deal on that would make a great gift for a friend or just for yourself. Get an O (Oprah) book plus a Moroccan throw worth  $79.50 for only $40.

I think this is a great gift idea for a friend or someone you care about, as the O books are full of great articles, advice and more. The throw is something everyone can use, especially when reading their O book.

I have Love Your Life: O’s Handbook For Your Best Today–and Tomorrow and I have read it a few times over. I basically use it as a coffee table book. My mom gave it to me for Christmas and I thought it was the perfect gift for me as I often rip out articles from Oprah’s magazine and this way they are bound nicely and a lot more neatly.

These books have a list price of $32.95, but are on sale at Chapters Indigo for $14.24. You could just get the book if you want, if you didn’t want the throw, but with the throw’s price at almost $80, you are getting a deal on both. Simply add both one of the books and a throw to your cart to see the price discounted down to $40.

The throws are really nice with an embossed design and measure 50×70, which is quite large. I love the amethyst colour and would love to just get cuddled up under one of these during the cold winter months. Reviewers say it is soft and heavy weight, which are two things you want in a blanket!

I think I’d like to get O’s Big Book of Happiness: The Best of O, The Oprah Magazine: Wisdom, Wit, Advice, Interviews and Inspiration. Also, if you are a big Oprah fan, her new book What I Know For Sure is on pre-order and you can get it at Chapters Indigo for 51% off. Now $14.25 with a list price of $28.99.

Shipping will be free with this deal, as Chapters Indigo gives you free shipping with a $25+ purchase.

Book Outlet Canada Coupon Code: $20 Off $60

Book Outlet Canada Coupon Code: $20 Off $60

Stock up on books at Book Outlet Canada with this $20 off $60 coupon code this weekend.

Click here to shop @ Book Outlet Canada now

  • Coupon Code: BOOKOUTLET20
  • Discount: $20 off $60
  • Expiry: 18th August 2014 @ 12PM EST

A lot of reading goes on in our house, and some of it you can find on the shelves at Book Outlet. Currently, my bookshelf holds Witches Abroad by Terry Pratchett. I have only read a handful of Pratchett’s work and those mainly featured Death or Rincewind. This book will be my first involving the witches, and I hope it is as good as the others are (and better than Eric). Originally $7.99, the book is now $3.99. The Hogfather by Pratchett is also on my bookshelf currently waiting to be read. I have it on authority that it is one of the best of the Discworld novels and involves Death, who is a favourite character of mine. This book also was $7.99, and is now $3.99.

If you like Fantasy, my husband would suggest almost anything by Jennifer Fallon. Glancing at his bookshelf right now, I can tell you he owns all of the Fallon books that Book Outlet has for sale right now. The last one to come out, The Undivided (Rift Runners Book One), I actually bought him as a birthday gift. Originally $26.99, the book is discounted to $5.99. He is impatiently waiting for the next two books in the series to reach Canada now.

My own personal tastes have been towards Neil Gaiman lately, but they do not have many of his books on Book Outlet right now. However, while browsing books I ran across Mugen Spiral (Volume 1) on sale for $3.99, from $9.99. This manga (and volume 2) are on the top of my bookshelf. They are beloved reads and rereads about a girl who can summon ethereal helpers and the demons who are trying to kill her to absorb her power in order to determine the new demon overlord. I highly recommend it!

If you want a sweet series that never has an ending, try Shutterbox. A human girl becomes the anchor for the muse world, but there is an interesting sense of history repeating itself about it all. The series was abandoned, but I still keep my four volumes. Volumes 3 and 4 are on sale for $3.99 each, originally $9.99.

Shipping is $3.99 for the first item, and then an additional $0.75 per item. Be sure to check out the coupon forum for future coupon codes like this one.

Try AudioBooksNow Free For 30 Days

Posted by on July 28, 2014 at 6:30 PM

Try AudioBooksNow Free For 30 Days

Want to discover new books but don’t have time to read them? No problem! You can listen to audio books for free at AudioBooks Now with a 30-day free trial.

Whether you’re constantly on the road or just want to listen to a good book while you cook or simply rest your eyes, listening to books is definitely a great way to enjoy a good story without reading it. With AudioBooks Now, you can listen to books on plenty of devices like your phone, tablet, iPad, iPod, etc.

To get the AudioBooks free trial

To get your free trial, simply create a new account and enter your credit card information. Unfortunately, there is no way to bypass entering your credit card information but you never know, you may just like your free trial enough that you might want to extend your membership in the upcoming months. This is where it gets tricky though: for some reason, AudioBooks Now has made it so that you can only enter a US state and zip code. The rest of the details don’t matter but you need to check any state (I went with AE) and for the zip code, you can enter: “12345″ or any other random numbers that you please. This will allow you to continue creating your account.

From there, you will need to select the $5 membership, which will be free for 30 days.

AudioBooks Membership

Keep in mind that although your membership will be free for 30 days, you will still need to pay for certain books as you normally would anywhere else. On the bright side, the membership also gives you access to a slew of specials and free audio books. Stephenie Meyer’s Breaking Dawn, for instance, as pictured in the banner above, is currently on sale for $15 instead of $30. Oddly enough, it is read by Matt Walters, while the other books in the Twilight series are read by Ilyana Kadushin. In any case, you can listen to a sample of any book before deciding if you want to purchase it or not.

Free titles that you can get right now include but are not limited to: Pride and Prejudice, Moby Dick, The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, War and Peace, The War of the Worlds, and many others.

The membership costs $5 per or $35 on a yearly basis. It also allows you to save 50% off any one audio book per month, along with up to 40% off any other audio book purchased after that.

Very Important

If, at the end of the 30 days, you don’t want to pay for the membership or simply aren’t interested in their offered books, you need to make sure to click the big red button labelled “De-Activate Club Pricing” in the account section of their site. It’s very important that you do this, otherwise you will be charged on a per month basis from the day that you originally subscribed.

Also, when I went to cancel my membership, I was offered another month for free. So you could technically get two months out of the free trial once your free month is up (assuming you go to cancel your membership in time).

Having finished all the coursework for my degree, this is now my summer of reading and cleaning out my book collection. Inevitably, I seem to be buying as many books as I am getting rid of so my bookshelves never get any emptier. I recently bought, and read, The Graveyard book by Neil Gaiman. I was suitably impressed with the quality of writing and I will be purchasing more books by this author. I am eyeing up The Silver Dream by both Neil Gaiman and Michael Reeves. I have never heard of this book before, but it is a sequal to the well-known Interworld. Originally $18.99, the book is on sale for $5.99.

I recently bought Lizzie Newton Book 1 in a used bookstore. It was sort of a hail-mary call as I based it on a few short glances through the book. The art is fantastic and the story is very much Murder She Wrote with a dash of Sherlock Holmes and Miss Marple mixed in for good measure.  The art is very nice and I shall be continuing with the series. You can pick up the first volume for $4.49 at Book Outlet. They also have Lizzie Newton Book 2, which I do not have yet, priced at $4.49 as well.

On my reading list this summer are many Terry Pratchett novels from his Diskworld series. I have already read Reaper Man, which stars my favourite character: Death. You can pick up a copy on Book Closeouts for just $3.99. So far, it is my favourite of the Death novels, but I have just read that one and most of Mort. My husband says that Hogfather is the best of all. I do plan to read both the Hogfather and Soul Music, which is another Death novel by Pratchett. You can pick up a scratch and dent copy for cheap on Book Outlet: only $2.49.

With the extra $10 off $30, you can really stock up on books whether your shelves can handle the extra weight or not. Shipping is $3.99 for the first item, and then an additional $0.75 per item. Be sure to check out the coupon forum for future coupon codes like this one.

Chapters Indigo Canada is offering a pretty sweet online exclusive for just today and tomorrow only.  Get summer cookbooks for at least 50% off the regular prices.

As I started looking through the cookbooks included in this deal, I noticed something funny.  None of them are actually on sale for 50% off.  In fact, all of the are priced at 52% off or higher, which make this sale even better. Every single book was between 52% off and 55% off the regular prices. It is funny how companies sometime don’t advertise correctly but this time, it is in our favour!

With this deal, Chapters Indigo Canada has included the best 50 summer cookbooks.  This is a  great time to grab some gifts for birthdays coming up for friends and family members that love to cook.

If you are shopping for someone that loves to grill and BBQ in the summer, you may want to check out this cookbook.  The Big-Flavor Grill was priced at $29.95 and is now on sale for just $14.22.  This price is 53% off the regular price. It offers no-marinade, no-hassle recipes for delicious steaks, chicken, ribs, chops, vegetables, shrimp, and much more.

I have been looking for a healthier way to cook and eat for my family so this True Food: Seasonal, Sustainable, Simple, Pure cookbook caught my eye.  The regular price for it is $21 but it is on sale right now for just $9.98.  That ends up being 52% off the regular price. It is a #1 bestseller that presents seasonal, sustainable, and delicious recipes from Dr. Andrew Weil’s popular True Food Kitchen restaurants.  It actually just came out this year in April so it a a great new cookbook to take a look at for healthy eating.

Lastly, The Madhouse Cookbook: Delicious Recipes For The Busy Family Kitchen is a great cookbook for families on the go.  It’s price is $26.95 and it is on sale for 53% off the regular price right now making it just $12.80. Chapters Canada: 87% Off Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Total Recall Hardcover Book – Now $4.75

Chapters Canada: 87% Off Arnold Schwarzeneggers Total Recall Hardcover Book Now $4.75

Do it. Do it now! Get Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Total Recall: My Unbelievably True Life Story, which is down by 87% at Chapters Indigo and is now on sale for just $4.75 (reg. $36.99). It’s $5 for non-Plum members but membership is absolutely free and awards rewards for every purchase.

Disclaimer: every time you read Arnold’s last name in this post, it will have been copy/ pasted. Can you write his name without cheating or looking at the keyboard?

Total Recall is Schwarzenegger’s first autobiography and I write “first” because it seems that nowadays it seems that celebrities releases autobiographies left and right, almost on a yearly basis. It covers his childhood up to his real life as a governator and with the last chapter being on Arnold’s 10 rules, which briefly cover reps and a couple of life lessons like forgetting plan B and staying hungry.

This is an incredibly good deal for a $5 book that was released in October 2012 and which is comprised of 656 pages in a hardcover format. Amazon has it on sale for as high as $29.59.

I actually bought this book for my hubby, who is incredibly into fitness and idolizes Schwarzenegger, and I must warn you that his book is incredibly hefty. It’s definitely not the kind you could easily lug around on the subway , but it is, however, a good read, as evidenced by the numerous positive online reviews like this one:

I thoroughly enjoyed this! I like Arnold, the man, the actor, his humour, his opinions and a lot of his politics. I’m not into sports and thought the bodybuilding would be the least interesting for me but I found the whole thing fascinating. This is a huge book and instead of just sitting down and plowing through I decided to take it a chapter at a time and am so glad I did.

The only hitch is that on its own, this book won’t qualify for free shipping. On the brighter side, Chapters Indigo’s free shipping minimum threshold isn’t as high as most stores and is only at $25. This means that you will need to add around $20 worth of merchandise to your basket to have your order shipped for free and I definitely recommend adding another book or two instead of paying the $5.99 shipping charge. Make sure to have a look at Chapters Indigo’s Deals of the Week for plenty of other ways to save, like 50% off select celebrity lifestyle books such as Cameron Diaz’s The Body Book on sale for $15.99 (reg. $31.99).
