If you are looking for a learning toy to help your child read, Walmart has a super deal on right now. The LeapFrog Tag on the Go bundle is only $30, was $44.96. This bundle is exclusive to Walmart, so the only other place I could price compare was at LeapFrog itself. They allow you to bundle your Tag reader too, but when I did that with the same items, it came up to a $75 price tag!
You can get this set in either green or pink, but the green is sold out online. It includes the Tag Reader pen, a sample book and the carrying case.
The reviews are good for Tag, saying that kids love them and teachers recommend them. I think any "toy" that helps kids to read is definitely beneficial. While we don't have the Tag system, we have other LeapFrog products and find that the kids love using them and they do learn from them.
Basically kids use the Tag books with the pen and as they put the pen to page, the story is read out loud.
