Fun & Frugal: Ice-Cream in a Bag!

ice-cream

A couple of days ago, I shared a delicious coffee crunch ice-cream recipe here, a handy little concoction for the summer. And this morning on Pinterest, I was looking for ideas for the kids during the summer, and I saw this idea – ice-cream in a bag! It’s a really easy recipe to make, plus you can have a little fun in doing so.

Basically, just throw these ingredients in a small Ziploc bag then seal it up:

  • A 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 and a 1/2 teaspoons sugar

Then, grab yourself a larger Ziploc bag. Put the first bag in there, and then fill with ice cubes and seal it up. Throw the bag around the yard for ten minutes, giving it a good shake. You can play catch with the kids! Once it’s all mixed up, it’s ready to eat.

I made this all the time as a kid. We were never patient enough and often it was a milkshake instead on really hot days!
