Save-On-Foods Offers Customers $25 Gift Card

Remember that bread price-fixing scheme that broke last year? In response to that news, Save-On-Foods is now offering $25 gift cards to some of their customers.

In a letter to customers, Save-On-Foods president Darrell Jones says the company "had no knowledge of" or involvement in the industry-wide bread price-fixing arrangement. Despite that, the company is offering $25 gift cards to select customers as a goodwill gesture.

So what's the catch? This offer is only available to people who were Save-On-Foods rewards members before Dec. 31, 2017. You'll also need to declare that you're over the age of majority in your province and that you purchased bread at Save-On-Foods sometime in the past 14 years.

Finally, you're limited to one card per household, and you can't spend it on tobacco, alcohol, prescriptions or lottery products.

Loblaws (which admitted to participating in the price-fixing arrangement), is also offering customers a $25 gift card, and registration for those is open now.
