David’s Tea is my favourite place to buy tea because I have one local, where I can go in and smell each tea, and they often offer discounts on their seasonal teas. I recently picked up two new teas while I was in store, while getting a refill on one I had run out of recently.
The first new tea I purchased was Garcinia Goodness. It is an organic pu'erh tea with orange peel, hibiscus, garcinia, and more in it. It tastes like honeysuckle to me, which is odd, as the tea does not have any of those flowers in it. The tea was chosen for its metabolism boosting powers as garcinia and pu'erh are both known for giving your metabolism a little push in the right direction. I figure my metabolism can use all the help it can get. 50g retails for $8.50.
The second tea I bought has been a bit of a disappointment after one pot. I love the smell of Cinnamon Heart, also a pu'erh tea, but it was just not strong enough upon first brew. Essentially, it did not taste like the glorious tea I smelled. Perhaps I made it too weak the first time, so my next pot will be stronger and brewed for longer before I take a cup. The tea smells like cinnamon hearts and I want to taste like it too. This tea is also $8.50 for 50g. When you purchase 100g of any tea, you will receive a free tin.
I also found a new tea I am dying to try once one of my current supplies run out. Snickerdoodle smells like heaven - a really sweet and sugary heaven. It is the kind of tea I would love to keep me warm on a cold night. It is certainly going on my must buy list. This tea is only $7.50 per 50g.
