There are all kinds of different reasons why somebody might choose not to drink, but I think we can all agree that most non-alcoholic options can suck, especially if you're at a party or bar. I love sparkling water as much as the next person, but I don't want to only sip on that when everybody else is having Manhattans.
A few years ago, a happy medium came onto the market. Seedlip describes their products as "the world's first distilled non-alcoholic spirits." They're basically alcohol substitutes that you can use to create just about any cocktail possible. In fact, there's an entire collection of Seedlip Drinks you can browse on their website.
At least one bar in my neighbourhood has started serving craft mocktails using Seedlip, and this is the first time I've ever seen their products available at a place I shop regularly. All three varieties are in stock at Well.ca! Each 700ml bottle sells for $45 (the same price as they'd cost if you bought them directly from Seedlip). I think I'm most interested to try the Grove 42 spirit, since I love citrus more than any other flavour.
They're made without sugar, sweeteners and artificial flavours, which I love. These spirits are completely natural, and while they're a little pricey, I spend $45 on botanical gin every few months. I might swap this in sometimes instead! Delivery is free on $35 orders, but these bottles won't ship to remote locations.
