Whether you call it the Winter Clearance or the Winter Sale (and Mastermind Toys does both), it's worth breaking out your wallet. Because from now until Jan. 15, hundreds of toys, games, books, school supplies and accessories are now 60% off, and that includes select items for less than a dollar.
Yes, there are a few LEGO sets and books included in the sale, but those are pretty much sold out entirely online. You'll have to head to a store if you want any chance of picking them up at these prices. One thing, however, did stand out to me right away. They have Lil' Gleemerz for just $10!
I don't know if you remember these things, but they're basically light-up interactive pets whose tails and eyes glow as they play. I haven't seen them for anything close to this price elsewhere in Canada. I mean, they usually sell for $24.99! Mastermind Toys also has Lil' Gleemerz Babies for $6, instead of $14.99.
Christmas is obviously over, but I was also pretty intrigued by this Sno-Tree Kit. It comes with a few things to decorate an outdoor tree, whether that's a natural one with snow-covered branches or one you build entirely out of the white stuff. It's now $10 (from $24.99) and even comes with paint you can use on the snow.
As for those of you with younger kiddos, the B Chew Ch'boogie Bumble the Bee Teether is only $6. It's pretty adorable, if I do say so myself, and it's exactly the kind of thing I'll probably put on a baby registry someday. In a similar vein, I love the idea of the Letters to Open on Your Birthday book, which you can buy for $8.78.
Shipping is free if you spend at least $35, or you can pick up your ordered items in a store for free. All the Winter Sale items are final sale, and you might want to hurry before everything sells out!
