I can put up with all the gore and horror of Halloween, but there's truly nothing scarier than when your period ruins a new pair of pants. And I know I've talked about period panties a LOT lately, but these things are absolutely worth the investment, especially when you can order them on sale!
A few different companies out their make "period" or otherwise absorbent panties, but my all-time favourites are from Knix. Theirs come in different cuts, styles and sizes, and they're all so thin it feels like you're wearing nothing – but you actually get all the coverage and extra reassurance you need.

My personal favourites are the Athletic Leakproof Period Thongs, since I can wear them with any bottoms and not have to worry about panty lines. I usually save them for lighter days (or the week leading up to my period, when I'm never quite sure when everything will strike), and they're perfect for hot yoga or other workouts at any point in the month, since they'll soak up any sweat for you. Plus, they're now $18.90 each!
