Why is this backpack worth $50? It was truly designed with the modern student in mind. It can carry up to a 17" laptop and four three-ring binders. That is a very heavy load, so the backpack also comes with an adjustable waist belt to help distribute the load more evenly on the body instead of just weighing down the shoulders. However, I haven't seen anyone use the waist belt of a 'regular' (non-hiking) backpack. Maybe it is uncool?
The backpack also has some medium pockets with compartments and side-zip pockets with mesh exterior for pens, pencils, cell phones, etc. You can get the backpack in Red or in Blue.
