Oh no! Look out parents. If you have purchased the Wooden Easy-Grab Puzzles for your tot from Dollarama, then you will want to stop letting your child play with them. The Wooden Easy-Grab Puzzles have been recalled due to a choking hazard!!
These 3 piece puzzles have different themes such as farm animals, garden animals, ocean animals and jungle animals. They all have wooden knobs. The problem? The wooden knob may separate from the puzzle piece and that definitely creates a choking hazard. If you flip the puzzle piece over and see a metallic peg on the under side, then your puzzle is not included in the recall.
So far there have been no reports of any children choking, though there have been reports of the knob detaching from the puzzle piece. I always like to suggest that new parents read the General Toy Safety Tips on the Healthy Canadians website.
There are approximately 23,952 of these recalled puzzles floating around in Canada. The recalled puzzles were sold between June 2015 and January 2016 in all Dollarama stores across Canada. I have actually seen quite a few friends have these for their kiddos. Do you know anyone with these puzzles in their household?
