The New Polly Pocket Toys are Finally in Canada

Guide to Polly Pocket in Canada

Remember Polly Pocket? The teeny-tiny dolls were one of the hit toys of the ’90s, and this year, they made a comeback.

Earlier this year, Mattel the company that took over Bluebird Toys (who made the original compacts), announced plans to relaunch an entirely new line of Polly Pocket dolls – and they're finally here!

The new dolls got a makeover, and they (along with their compacts and accessories) are a lot bigger than the Polly Pockets we're used to.

There's just one thing: they tend to sell out FAST in Canada, and most stores haven't been able to keep them in stock for more than a few days.

So far, we've seen the compacts at Chapters Indigo, Walmart Canada and Toys R Us Canada, and you might be able to find them on Amazon.ca (usually for a pretty steep markup).

The new sets include an underwater scene, a music studio and even a limo! Honestly, the new dolls look a bit like the LEGO Friends characters to me, but there's nothing wrong with that.

Polly Pockets have become a huge collector's item since they were discontinued in 1998, so this might be your chance to finally score a compact or two at a much more reasonable price than what they've been selling for lately – if you can find them in stock.

So stay tuned to this post, because we'll let you know where you can buy Polly Pocket in Canada, as well as if and when these new sets ever go on sale.

And if you know any kiddos who would love these, you just might want to check out the brand-new Shopkins Lil' Secrets Mini Playsets. They're pretty much just like Polly Pocket, but they're especially for Shopkins fans and MUCH easier to find in stock right now.
