I'll share a few comments from our Bargainmoosers about LoyaltyTel as well:
Katie says:
I recently signed up for the unlimited home and cell phone plans. Now all my long distance is covered for less than $15 per month. You’ve got to be kidding me! So far, my experience has been very good. I’m with Rogers and had no problems getting switched over to Loyaltytel. I wondered if there would be any extra digits to dial but there are none.
And loyal Bargainmooser Steven has some positive and negative comments too:
I wrote to LoyaltyTel to find out if 1+ dialling was available if Shaw Cable were my local telco. provider. It turns out LoyaltyTel CANNOT offer 1+ dialling through Shaw Digital phone service. The only option in this case, is to first dial a local access number, and then dial the long-distance number you wish to reach. In my area, the nearest local access number is actually a long-distance number, so it completely defeats the purpose! So, just a word to the wise — check on this before you sign up for service.
Otherwise, I still maintain that the pricing is unbeatable, apart from lesser quality VOIP services such as Skype.
So it's probably good advice to take Steven's comments into consideration and check out whether this deal will suit you too.
