UGG Australia y'all! This beloved brand worn by feet everywhere has a Canadian shop that offers free shipping across Canada and has a bunch of footwear on sale. I found the Meena II Moccasin for just $120, originally $175.
Why I like this shoe:
First of all, moccasins match with pretty much everything. They are a simple slip-on shoe that you can wear with dresses, skirts, and jeans. Usually, moccasins are comfortable and durable but do not have much grip. Enter the Meena II. This is a driving moccasin featuring a molded rubber outsole with traction. I also love the wide toe box on the shoe, which I am sure would be comfortable for those with wider feet.
Features:
The upper is made out of soft pigskin nubuck suede that is water resistant. When you purchase this shoe, you get not one but two interchangeable insoles. The first insole has 4mm of Poron and is lined with sheepskin. The second insole has a PU cushioning foot bed lined with a smooth leather sock.
The Meena II comes in eight different colours with sizes starting at five and going up to size 12. Traditionally I am a fan of black, but I prefer this moccasin in the locomotive grey. Surf spray is also a nice bright colour for those who like rainbows and lollypops. Between the many varieties of colours, you can find all sizes still.
You will receive free express shipping via UPS on all orders. I double-checked with the website (on chat), and they said that all orders ship from Southern California. However, duty is included in the price so you will not be hit with any additional fees as your new boots or shoes cross the border.
I really like these shoes, though I do think they are a bit on the expensive side still. However, I have only ever owned one pair of UGGS and they were a poor fit, so I cannot speak to the quality and durability of the brand. I do think that the rubber outsole will add to the longevity of these shoes.
