If you keep up to date with what's going on in the beauty world, you've either tried or at least heard good things about Glossier. But if you need a refresher, they're basically a company with a pretty simple motto: skin first, makeup second. Their thinking is that if you start out with a great canvas (aka glowy and dewy skin), you can really show off your face and then add makeup as your finishing touches – not a fix for problem spots.
Now, here comes the tricky part. Glossier isn't a brand you'll just find laying around at any old department store counter. In fact, you won't find them at Sephora, either. Where to buy Glossier products
I'll cut right to the chase: the list of where to buy Glossier is pretty limited. In fact, they're pretty much only available online, directly from the Glossier website. And if you're a savvy shopper, that may have set off a few alarm bells in your head. But before you start worrying, we have answers:
Does Glossier ship to Canada?
YES! Glossier currently ships directly from their website to the United States, Canada and a few different countries in Europe. Shipping may take a little longer if you live in the territories or other remote regions of Canada, but they can still get your order to you – and they will ship to Canadian PO boxes. Just keep in mind that hazardous materials regulations mean Glossier can't ship fragrances and samples to these postal codes.
How much does Glossier shipping to Canada cost?
Here's the deal: Glossier offers FREE standard shipping to Canada on orders of $40 or more. If you don't reach that minimum spend (or you want your order a little sooner), standard shipping (via DHL in seven to 10 business days) is $8, and expedited shipping (through UPS in two or three business days) is $20. All duties, taxes and shipping fees are charged at checkout – which means you won't have to pay extra when your package arrives.
Before you start shopping, make sure you see the "CA" icon in the top righthand corner of your screen (or select "Canada" from the drop-down). That way, you'll see prices in CAD. And while you wait for an order, keep in mind that Glossier doesn't require signatures for Canadian orders (yay!).
You might remember the Glossier pop-up that happened in Toronto a couple years back. They occasionally take their show on the road, and there's a chance they'll come back to Canada so you can try and buy their goodies in person. As you might have guessed, sales are few and far between at Glossier. There's no defined sale section on their website, and they don't really sell marked-down products. The one exception is their Save on Sets section, where you can find curated makeup kits and skincare pairings at a fraction of what the included products would cost if you bought them all separately.
Still, if you're only shopping for one or two things, a Glossier promo code could really come in handy. Those are also pretty scarce, but some Reddit users and bloggers have mentioned that you can occasionally get them through beauty influencers on YouTube and Instagram (just check the comments and captions of their posts and videos, and you might luck out). If you want to do things the old-fashioned way, you can share the Glossier love with a friend. They run a Get $10 program (you can find it in the drop-down menu if you go to your account on their site), where you just refer your friends to Glossier. The scoop on the Glossier Black Friday Sale
Alright, there is ONE sale we've actually seen Glossier run before, and it's a biggie. The Glossier Black Friday Sale literally made headlines in 2018, when they marked down absolutely everything they sell. The deal ran on their website and in-person at their fairly new flagship store in New York City.
Basically, you could get anything Glossier for 20% off – and it wasn't just a Black Friday special. The sale lasted for all of that weekend, through to Cyber Monday. If something similar pops up again this year, though, you'd probably want to shop as close to the start of the sale as possible. Whenever deals are this scarce, you never know when products will start to sell out!
