Town Shoes is Closing All Stores in Canada This Month

In case you missed the news last summer, you might need to hurry if you want to score a bargain on shoes. In August, we learned that Town Shoes will close all their Canadian stores and shutter their website for good – and all that will happen by the end of January 2019.

The entire brand will shut down by the end of the month. All 38 Town Shoes locations in Canada will close, and a Liquidation Sale is happening online right now, with shoes and handbags on sale for up to 60% off.

That means you have just a few more weeks to make any last Town Shoes shopping trips.

As a company spokesperson told The Canadian Press, DSW Inc. (which runs Town Shoes) decided to close down the brand after the company examined Town Shoes' performance history and future in the shoe industry. And it's not the only Canadian chain folding this year. Crabtree & Evelyn is closing all its Canadian stores, and Jean Machine is shutting down, too.
