Jean Machine is Closing All Stores by February 2019

You may need to find a new place to buy jeans next year – because Jean Machine is planning to close all their stores by February 2019.

Earlier this month, company president Lisa Hryciuk announced the move in a letter posted on Jean Machine's social media channels. Specifically, Jean Machine will close its doors for good on Jan. 31, 2019.

Officially, Jean Machine will close 20 of their 24 stores on Jan. 31. The remaining four stores will remain open until Feb. 28.

As of Nov. 1, all sales will be final. This means Jean Machine will no longer accept exchanges or returns. The one exception is for purchases made before Nov. 1, which will fall under their 14-day return and exchange policy (so you have until Nov. 14 to bring back any recent purchases).

The one good thing to come out of this, though, is that their online store will remain open. In fact, you can head to their website right now and shop their Warehouse Sale.

If you have a Jean Machine gift card, make sure you redeem it by Jan. 31, 2019 (so keep that in mind if you're giving some for Christmas gifts). As of Nov. 1, you will no longer be able to buy gift cards.

Jean Machine filed for bankruptcy protection earlier this year. The company has operated in Canada for 42 years but couldn't keep up with competition from similar retailers.

Will they be having a huge closeout sale?

From what we've seen, they haven't officially announced anything like that yet. There is a sale happening online right now, but there's a good chance we'll see bigger discounts as we get closer to February.
