Canadians Get to Try New YouTube Feature First!

No longer in it's testing phase, YouTube videos can be shared from within a new YouTube messaging service using the up-dated YouTube app on iOS and Android. Updates are just rolling out today on phones in Canada!

Canadians have been selected to be the first ones to use the app because of our fondness for YouTube. According to Google Official Canada Blog, we share YouTube videos 15% more often than the average YouTube user.

Now you can share YouTube videos, (including music videos of course), while having private conversations within the app. You won't have to use your messaging app or other social platforms to share it. How convenient!

From the official Google Canada Blog:

Starting today, when opening the YouTube mobile app, signed-in users with a channel will see a brand new Shared tab. Tap the tab and you'll be able to add your friends and family as contacts, so you can share with them. Not only can you share and receive videos in the app, you can also chat about them right on YouTube, reply with another video, invite others to the conversation, and more.

If you have an Amerifriend or a friend in another country who wants to try it out, you'll be able to share a video with them from the YouTube app. As you share videos with your friends, they'll also get to use the new Shared tab!

What's the first video you are going to share with someone?? Google Canada Blog was eager to mention this one that aired on Global News: Holiday artichoke dip goes terribly wrong on-air. It will definitely cause you to laugh or share, if you haven't yet watched it. Now you can share it more easily than ever before.
