6 Frugal & Fabulous Mother's Day Meals

Mother's Day is of course a time to celebrate Mom. Your first instinct might be to take her out to a fancy restaurant and spend a ton of money, but if I know Mom, she'd much prefer to have you make her a fabulous meal. You also don't have to go out and buy a live lobster either. Most of the moms I know are simple ladies who just want to have their turn being cooked for. Here are six fabulous meals Mom will love and they won't cost much out of your wallet, because you know Mom wouldn't want you to spend all your money!

Start her day off right with a hearty breakfast. Breakfast doesn't just have to mean bacon and eggs either, but this recipe from Martha Stewartmakes her eggs that much more special.

If Brunch is more Mom's thing, consider serving these stuffed tomato "tulips". I think they are cute and you won't have to splurge on $50 in roses. Get the recipe from Edible Crafts Online.

Since this is Mom's day, she should be able to splurge and for once not worry about calories or carbs or pretty much anything. Make her this caramalized coconut banana bread waffle french toast from Half Baked Harvest and she'll know why she decided to have you. In a restaurant this would cost you about $15, at home probably less than $5 and no tip to leave either!

The photo above looks like a healthy meal to make Mom, but if you click the link to go to the Elephant Journal, you'll see more delicious and somewhat healthy recipes for Mom. My favourite is the pink le-Mom-ade, which has tequila in it! Yes, that's the Mother's Day I'm talking about!

And since we mentioned pink lemonade, doesn't this pink lemonade no bake cheesecake look divine? Yes, please! Get the recipe from Cravings of a Lunatic.

And since we mentioned tequila, what would Mother's Day be without margaritas? Like they say, treat your mom to a margarita as you are probably the reason she drinks. This delicious looking watermelon margarita is a Mother's Day treat by Simply Real Moms.

Bargainmoosers, what are you making Mom this Mother's Day?
