Snapsaves Canada: Cash Back on Groceries

19 September 2013

SnapSaves Canada is a program where you can redeem coupons on your phone's app. by scanning in your receipt. In this way you get cash back on groceries and household needs.

You link your Buytopia account to the application or create a new account. When you have collected $20 worth of redemptions, you can request a cheque be sent to you. This system is a lot like Checkout 51 which we have mentioned before. However, there are some key differences:

  • SnapSave is not on a weekly schedule
  • Deals expire when sold out or the promotion ends

Currently they have sixteen deals up. My husband has been trialing it for a couple days and though he prefers Checkout 51 so far, he did note they generally have different coupons so it depends on what you buy. Using both certainly will not detract from either system and allows you to save more money on groceries. As the price of food goes up each year, programs like these are wonderful for helping consumers save a few extra dollars.
