This deal is actually pretty darn sweet if you are planning a big Sony Store purchase come Boxing Day. I have used this deal before and it is pretty great. I suggest buying the gift card and then saving it, because you can combine the gift card you bought ($50 worth) with the $50 off $150 certificate you will receive. So, if you are buying something that is exactly $150, then this certificate is like a 33% off coupon.
I have a Sony camera and accessories for it rarely ever go on sale. On my wish list is this basic Sony External flash which is $199.99. If I use the method above to pay for it, come December 26th the flash will only cost me $149.99, so I save 25% off the original price.
