Prime day doesn't only bring great discounts on items on Amazon.ca, it also brings a great offer on gift cards. During Amazon Canada's Prime Day event, you will get a free $5 promotional credit when you purchase select Amazon.ca gift card multi-packs from $30. This offer is valid today only, for Amazon Prime Members.

All of the eligible Amazon.ca gift card multi-packs are seen when you click the link above. The details say to enter the coupon code PRIMEDAYGC but you can actually just click the yellow button that says "Click to apply promo code" before adding the gift cards to your Amazon.ca shopping card. If you click that button and try to enter the coupon code at the check out process, the coupon code will bounce back as invalid.

After you have made your purchase, Amazon.ca will ship the gift cards out to the receiver whether that be a friend or yourself and you will also receive an email that contains a voucher for your $5 promotional credit. This credit can be instantly applied to your Amazon.ca account if you want to combine it with today's Prime Day discounts and hot offers. If you choose not to use it today, the $5 credit will remain valid through August 29th.

It looks like the minimum gift card value you can purchase to qualify for this offer is $30. This pack comes in a 3 pack of $10 cards, which would make great stocking stuffers or would even make a great little gift for inside a birthday card or something like that. You could just use them yourself if you really want to, then essentially that $5 promo credit is just free money. Who can complain about free money?
