Kitchen Timers For A Few Dollars!

Kitchen Timers For A Few Dollars!

I thought I’d post about these little cute kitchen timers from DealExtreme.

I actually own this one – the Chef Style Kitchen Timer for $4.20us (about $4.90CA). I bought it about 6 months ago, and I use it on a daily basis. The timer is really handy for me to time my meals to perfection.

It’s a bit short in that it only has a 60 minute limit. Sometimes I have a casserole in the oven for 2 hours, so would have to wind it up twice. It’s not a major problem though, as I would stir it at the one hour mark anyway. The bell on it is quite loud, and I can leave the timer in my kitchen and hear it from the home office. Here's a pic of him in action!

Instead of the chef style, there are a few other designs on the DealExtreme website:

Each of these other timers look to be very similar, with the only difference being the styling on the outside.

So, if you’re the kind of person who throws something in the oven and finds it hard to keep track of when to take it out, I’d say you should invest a few bucks into one of these funky cheap kitchen timers.

Just in case you haven’t heard of DealExtreme, they are a Hong Kong based site, which ship worldwide, including Canada. Shipping is free! They have some excellent prices on little gadgets such as this. Shipping can take a week to 10 days, so might be a bit slow.
