This is the cheapest I have ever seen a KitchenAid food processor. Even on sale they are usually $100 or more.

Just a comment on those last two features. The heavy-duty base is awesome because your food processor is never going to vibrate away on you. It really stays in place and feels safe. The clean touch control pad makes for really easy cleaning. There is no trying to pry stuff out from beside the buttons.
I am sure the cook in your family would love to find this underneath the tree. It looks expensive, it is of great quality, and you will only pay a fraction of the retail price! I think that calls for a glass of bubbly.
