In my never-ending quest to neaten and organize every square inch of our humble abode, I came across a wonderful deal from our faithful friends at Amazon Canada. Regularly $122.75, the Maple Prepac Sonoma Entryway Cubbie Shelf has been marked down by 66% to just $41.99. The shelf is also available in Black and Espresso at a reduced price -- they've each been discounted by 48% to $62.98. As the shelf is over Amazon.ca's minimum threshold, it will ship to you for free.

I've linked to the Maple and Black shades above but, as mentioned, it's available in a lovely Espresso finish, too. Oh, does this ever look handy! It would be prefect for any front foyer or mudroom or even a home office or nursery. The three storage compartments are great for hats, gloves, books, handbags and other odds and ends; four large hooks are able to hold umbrellas, coats and jacket, and other clothing. The shelf is a generous size at 4 feet long, 16.5" high and 11.5" deep. If you wanted even more space for smaller things, you could arrange some baskets along the top, as well; for things such as off-season hats and gloves, spare keys and anything else you don't necessarily need quick access to as you're flying out the door. There are even matching Entryway Benches available in each shade. Although not included with the shelf, Amazon also has these coordinating benches on sale for about 24% off their original cost at $98.98. You could complete the look for less than $150 and have even more storage for shoes or pet accessories, and a convenient place for the family to sit while getting in and out of those mucky winter boots.

Constructed of high-quality laminate composite woods and MDF (medium-density fibreboard), the Prepac Sonoma Entryway Cubbie Shelves have wonderful reviews everywhere I was able to locate them around the web. Common sentiments are that they're nice and large and quite sturdy. People seem to absolutely love them for kids' storage; a place to throw the backpacks after school. It's also mentioned that they're quite easy to assemble and install, which is always a bonus.

These same Prepac shelves are available at many other online retailers (including Staples, Home Depot and Best Buy) but the lowest price I was able to locate was about $80. If you're opting for the softer Maple shade, Amazon's price is nearly half that.

Your great new shelf will ship to you free of charge from Amazon.ca but, remember, this is Amazon so please hurry before the price skyrockets!
