Free iPhone Lonely Planet Guides

With the catastrophic ash cloud coming from the unpronounceable Icelandic volcano, many thousands of travelers are stranded all over the world. The Lonely Planet team has released a series of free iPhone guides for people stuck in the European locations.

The 13 guides will be available free until Thursday, 22 April 2010 from the iTunes app store.

The European cities included in the free guides are:

Clarification: if you download the app for free, it is yours to keep. You will not be charged in the future for an app that you have downloaded free.

So if you are a Canadian stuck somewhere in Europe, but still reading Bargainmoose to pass the time, then these might come in handy for you! Or even if you planned on visiting some of those locations in your summer vacation, download the free guides now so you will have it during the summer.

A friend of mine from the UK is currently stuck in South Africa… poor girl!
