When Mooser Anna told me about these boots, I price compared and immediately bought a pair. Now I'm telling you. My youngest son has been having all sorts of trouble getting his boots on. The problem is that they don't have a stiff back so they bunch up and he can't get his foot in. Then, he doesn't do them up tight enough and the snow gets in very easily between the tongue and the boot. This has caused him so much stress he refuses to get his boots on at recess.
I need my kids to be independent and boots should be easy so these Kamik boots are much better since they are easy to slip on and there is no tongue for moisture and snow to get in. They are completely waterproof so his feet should stay warm and dry. It also has a removable thermal lining and a snow collar with a lace lock. I do find those hard for the kids to do themselves, but if they are wearing snow pants on top, they really don't need to tighten it anyway.
There are six styles with varying sizes available for both girls and boys.
While price comparing, I didn't find these exact boots, but Kamik boots for kids regularly sell for about $75, so this is really a steal. Normally, I wouldn't have shopped online at Sears for boots, but with their free shipping, this was a no-brainer as I didn't have to spend the required $99.
