I had a diaper genie that was handed down to me with my first baby and it was definitely a gift from smelling poopy diapers. I wished I still had it once my youngest was born because we got a puppy not long after this who liked to steal and eat diapers. Let me tell you, that is not a fun mess to clean up. If the diapers weren't right into a garbage she couldn't get into (so not a bathroom or laundry room garbage can), she would be able to get them.
This specific diaper genie is really cool as it has a foot pedal to open it so you don't need your hands, which, coincidentally, when you have a new baby, you won't have use of anymore. Apparently you don't even need to bend over, which is always a score too with a new baby, because for me anyway, it might be hard to bend back up.
