The cold months can drag a little when cash is limited, so it's worthwhile making the most of free events. Toys R Us are offering some FREE events for the kids - so that'll be your children entertained for one afternoon on a rainy day, and it won't cost you a penny.
Toys R Us Free Kids Events
Kids love toys and they love to socialize, so it's a no-brainer to take them to your local participating Toys R Us for some FREE fun.
- Pokemon Trade and Play: Saturday, February 29 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Trade your own Pokemon cards with other kids that attend. You'll also receive a FREE Trading kit (contains a 3-card fun pack, activity sheet, Pokémon coin and a Guide to Trading Cards).
- Barbie Play Day: Saturday, March 7 starts at 11 a.m.
Kids get the opportunity to decorate their own Barbie sports pennant and take part in the unboxing of Barbie Colour Reveal Doll.
- LEGO Dots Make & Take Event: Saturday, March 28th 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Participants get to design and take home their very own personalized LEGO Dots art canvas.
Events require total supervision, and supervising adults must be of 18 years of age or older.
Most FREE events don't require pre-registration, so you can just rock up to a participating store on the day. The LEGO one is very popular though, so you may need to register for that one at your local participating store.
