The kids will (hopefully) be in bed soon ... and then you can break out your laptop, pull up the Toys R Us site and do a little Christmas shopping. That's what Black Friday is all about, right? I mean, that's my interpretation, considering the killer deals already out this year. At Toys R Us, for instance, select toys are half-price!
Specifically, they have more than 200 different toys, games, play structures and craft kits for 50% off the original prices. There are things for every possible age group and interest here, so I promise you'll be able to find something marked down, even if (like me) you're shopping for a niece you haven't even met before.
Even LEGO kits are up to 50% off, including the LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Express, which is down to $79.97 from $99.99. I haven't even really played with any LEGO in years, but I wouldn't mind taking a crack at this one! And if I'm being honest, I also wouldn't mind "testing" this Play-Doh Classic Fix Me Up Doc Playset. It's basically a dough-themed spoof of Operation, and I only wish they had this around when I was younger.
A few of these deals are only available in stores, so you'll have to head to your local Toys R Us if you want to pick up this Peppa Pig Transforming RV for $37.47 instead of the usual $74.99. For Black Friday only, most locations will open early (at 7 AM local time or 8 AM in Quebec), and they'll release doorcrashers in-store.
If you do shop online, know that you can check out and then pick up items from your local store for free (in most cases). Many orders over $49 will also ship free, unless they include oversize items.
