This set is more for expanding your child's existing Thomas and Friends set, but there's no saying you can't grab this track set as well as a starter pack. The Thomas the Train TrackMaster Race Set is made by Fisher-Price and I can speak from experience that you are getting a quality toy right here. And for just five bucks nonetheless.
This set has two parallel racing tracks with straight and curved track pieces as well as directional switches. You can connect these tracks with any Thomas the Train TackMaster playsets, track packs and expansion packs. This set alone is over 3 feet long when built. It unfortunately does not include any of the engines, but as I said before it is generally an expansion pack.
