I think thirty bucks for a rice cooker is pretty decent. It's stainless steel, which might make it a bit harder to clean than one of the non-stick models. But you can't really complain for this price.
I've been thinking about getting a rice cooker, as I am terrible at cooking rice. I just can't seem to do it properly. My rice usually ends up in one of three states; soggy, under-cooked or burned. I never get it right. I know that when you use a rice cooker like this, it is pretty hard to do it wrong. But I am not sure if I have enough room in my kitchen for another gadget!
