Claim 5,000 PC Optimum Points @ Shoppers

Nobody hates waiting in long pharmacy lines as much as I do, and that's why I love that Shoppers moved a lot of their services online. Now, you can file prescription requests online, and then just pick them up whenever they're ready! And to make things even sweeter, you can score 5,000 PC Optimum points for signing up.

I joined the service (mostly to get this deal) a while back, and it's definitely worth the few minutes it takes – especially if you refill the same prescription pretty regularly. If you already have an account, you won't qualify for the deal. It's for new online pharmacy customers only and available in select provinces.

Just so you know, online pharmacy accounts aren't available in Newfoundland, Prince Edward Island, Quebec or Yukon, and Albertans aren't eligible for the PC Optimum offer. For everybody else, though, you have until tomorrow night to sign in to your PC Optimum account and then create and verify a pharmacy profile.

To do so, you'll need your provincial health card and/or your drug benefit card. You'll just need to enter some personal information, and once the profile is set up, you'll be able to submit refill requests online or automatically refill certain prescriptions. Shoppers will let you know when a medication is ready for pickup. You can also link family members to your account to manage everybody's prescriptions in the same place.

You'll receive your 5,000 PC Optimum points within 21 days. Obviously, you need to be a PC Optimum member to qualify for this deal. If you're not part of the club yet, you can always sign up here for free.
