Shop.ca has a great deal on Dora books. Get the 15-book bundle for only $30. I couldn't find this at any Canadian online retailer and the price to buy it in the States is the same, but you are looking at shipping costs and duties on top of this, so this is a good deal.
The suggested retail price is $104.25 and this is if you bought each book on its own for $6.95. Since it is a bundle, I would assume it to be cheaper, but this is a good deal regardless. My younger kids love Dora and one of my middle son's first words was "backpack", even though he barely watched television. Dora just resonates with kids, especially with her long, awkward pauses forcing your kid to answer to the television. Actually, I find it cute when the TV asks my kid a question and realize they actually know the answer. I get all proud and stuff.
Each book has 24 pages is at a grade 2 reading level, but don't let that stop you from buying it for your younger kids. I always read my kids books older than their level. Besides I think grade 2 is getting a bit old for kids to like Dora, as far as the boys I've seen anyway.
