This is one of the few sets I have seen that includes a deep red. I have actually been looking at furniture protectors allot lately as I have two cats now. Having one was not too bad. My cats shed soooo much - even if I brush them - that their current blankets take a weekly trip through the washer. It also helps keep down all the litter they tend to track through the house. Thankfully, they are not outdoor/indoor cats or I would have muddy footprints to worry about too.
