I think it's safe to say that one of the top toy trends this year will be adoptable pets.
And no, I'm not talking about real, live dogs and cats that you need to feed. I mean stuffed toys like these new Rescue Runts.
These scruffy little puppies are abandoned and just looking for love. They're very similar to Little Live Scruff-A-Luvs, in that you need to clean them up, care for them, name them and give them a home to call their very own.
Toys R Us currently sells four different pups, but two of them are currently out of stock. So if you're hoping to adopt one of the runts, you might want to act fast! Each one of the Rescue Runts arrives as a matted ball of fur, but once you wipe away their tears, pick out the fleas, comb their fur and lift their ears, you'll reveal your new pet.
Each one sells for $24.99 at Toys R Us Canada and ships free as part of orders over $49. I've also seen them at Amazon Canada at a pretty steep markup, if they sell out here.
