I couldn't believe it when new Polly Pocket compacts made their way to store shelves in 2018. These were toys I absolutely adored growing up, and I big part of the fun was being able to pack up the tiny dolls and take them anywhere. Well, there's something new on the market that's pretty similar ... but made from LEGO.
As part of their ongoing collaboration with Disney, LEGO just came out with something that definitely would have been on my birthday wish list back in the day. Each LEGO Disney Princess Storybook Adventure set is just that: a little "book" you can open to stage all kinds of adventures with Elsa, Anna, Mulan, Belle and more.
Belle from Beauty and the Beast was always one of my favourite princesses. I mean, she's a strong, independent brunette who loves to read. There's a reason every BuzzFeed quiz I take tells me I'm her. That's probably why my eyes went directly to Belle's Storybook Adventure, but there a few more to choose from.
You can buy them all directly from the LEGO Canada website, but I've also seen these "books" at most places that sell toys, including Walmart, Chapters, Toys R Us, Well.ca and Amazon. So far, it doesn't look like anywhere has them on sale, but you might want to bookmark this page. I'll let you know ASAP if that changes.
