Kobo Reader Was $149 Now Only $109 @ Chapters Canada

Kobo

Due to the release of the new touch edition Kobo reader, Chapters has cut the price of the original version, from $149 down to only $109. You can get it in two colours:

I think that's a great price for a decent eBook reader.

Avigayil, my co-author here on Bargainmoose has a Kobo reader, and she really loves it. Right now, she's dragging it round New Zealand somewhere, loaded up with a ton of books for when she's relaxing.

Don't forget that Kobobooks.com has a section where you can download loads of classic eBooks for free. There are 289 titles in there, and I am sure you will recognise some like Bram Stoker's Dracula, The Jungle Book, Pride & Prejudice,  or The Count of Monte Cristo(I tried this one last week but couldn't make it past the first page - I wasn't in the right frame of mind).

I read The Island of Dr Moreau last week, it's a free title and I downloaded it to my iPad. I am a sci-fi fan, and HG Wells has always been a favourite. It was a very good read, but I do find that the story-telling in some of his books is now a little dated. There are rarely any women in his books! I found it interesting that in the latest movie rendition of The Island of Dr Moreau, they had to add a female love interest in there...
