Is the Potty Time Watch the Secret to Toilet Training?

Is the Potty Time Watch the Secret to Toilet Training?

I saw this on Facebook the other day and couldn't believe how great of an idea this is. The Potty Time Potty Watch actually reminds kids that it's time to go – or at least time to try, anyway!

So what exactly is it? The Potty Time Potty Watch is a fun, wearable device that looks pretty much like a regular watch, but it lights up and plays music to remind kids when it's time to go to the bathroom.

You can set the timer so it goes off every 30, 60 or 90 minutes. As your little one gets better at recognizing when they need to go, you can increase the time between alerts.

If you or someone you know is about to start potty training, this could be an invaluable investment – especially since one is less than $15!

Bed Bath and Beyond Canada has them in three colours – blue, green and pink – for $14.99 each (with free shipping on orders over $49).

You can also get the blue watch for $12.99 at Amazon.ca, through third-party seller USA Super Store. Groupon also occasionally has deals on the watches, but there's none on right now.

It uses two AG-13, LR44 or equivalent 1.5v watch batteries (which are included).

Most of the reviews I've seen are positive, but some commenters note that the watch isn't waterproof – so you might need to be careful when your kids are washing their hands, helping in the kitchen or playing outside.

Have you tried the Potty Time Potty Watch? Did it work for you and your kiddo? Leave your reviews and let us know what you think in the comments!

I think this is such a silly invention. My son has been going on the potty since he was 5 months old... They don't need gadgets to use the toilet.
