Valentine's Day Dinner for Two @ IKEA

They're notorious for causing arguments in the middle of the warehouse – and then more squabbling when you get home and try to build your Kallax bookcase. But this Valentine's Day, IKEA is trying to bring Canadian couples closer together, with a romantic dinner of Swedish meatballs for two.

This year, Valentine's Day falls on Friday, Feb. 14, and I don't blame you if you don't have time for a fancy night out. Most Fridays, I just want to get out of the office and head home to eat, although I'll sometimes try to do a little grocery or household shopping along the way – and this definitely takes care of both things.

The full Valentine's Day dinner is available online, but it's a three-course meal with more options that I initially expected. You can have a soup or salad for your starter and then one of three entrée options (including a vegetarian choice), with either cheesecake or chocolate cake for dessert. One glass of beer, wine or a non-alcoholic sparkling beverage is included with your meal, as are coffee, tea and fountain drinks.

But the best part? These meals only cost $29.99 for IKEA Family members or $34.99 for everybody else! Children's meals are also available for $3.49 a piece. You'll have to purchase tickets in-person at an IKEA Restaurant Checkout before the big day, but there's still plenty of time for that.
