It was difficult price comparing this kit, as I could not find it anywhere. I did look at other Gaiam kits, and they start at $25.86 (at Walmart Canada) for just a weighted ball and a DVD. I couldn't find a kit as large as this for sale at Walmart. The Yoga for Beginners Kit costs $40 at Chapters Indigo, so I figured this kit was a good price. You will need to supply your own yoga mat. The Weight Loss DVD has three workouts in total. There are two thirty minute workouts and a bonus core connect abdominal segment. These are designed to help you gain better flexibility and lose weight at the same time. After all that turkey, candy, baked goods, and wine - you will probably need something like that to fit back into your jeans.
I have never tried yoga myself, but I hear it is one of the best ways to stay fit and flexible, especially as you grow older and flexibility becomes an issue. The two three-pound weights are very useful for balancing on as shown above, and for increasing the strength in your arms.
I have been meaning to buy a yoga foam block for ages, but have never gotten around to it. The foam block is one of the key features of this kit as it is worth $20. I have been meaning to buy one for a while as you can use one in so many ways. Most certainly, it will help you improve your balance and core strength.
