Every year the first Saturday in May is Free Comic Book Day. This means you can head in to any of the participating comic book stores and they will be giving away comic books absolutely free.

- IDW Publishing: Transformers #80.5
- Image Comics: Image Comics: 20 Anthology
- Marvel Comics: The Avengers #12.1
- Oni Press: Yo Gabba Gabba! Free Comic Book Time!
There are a total of 44 different comic books that will be free on 5th May. There seems to be something for the young and older comic books lovers available. You will be able to get 1-10 free comic books depending on the store. This would make a fun family outing that would be absolutely free. A lot of kids are not into reading books but this is a fun way to get them interested. This is the 11th annual event for Free Comic Book Day.
