I first saw Dough Parlour's "gourmet" play dough on Instagram yesterday, and I can't believe it took me this long to hear about it. Their products are an elevated version of the modelling clay we all knew and loved as kids, and they smell good enough to eat. That's because every Dough Parlour "flavour" is scented like a snack!
The mostly fruity doughs are available individually or in sets. They're made with 100% nontoxic ingredients and are BPA-free. These doughs are completely safe for your kiddos (and older adults, too) and made from natural ingredients like wheat flour, sea salt, vegetable oil and bakery-grade colouring and scents.
But what really impressed me were the colours. Amidst all the bright-neon Play-Doh tubs that could almost glow in the dark, these light pastels really stand out. They smell like everything from lemon to cherry cola, and I'm honestly considering just buying a couple tubs for myself. Dough can work like a stress ball, right?
Dough Parlour also sells cookie cutters and other accessories, and the dough itself is made right here in Canada. That includes their new Cinnamon Hearts Dough that's out just in time for Valentine's Day. One jar sells for $7, and you can also pick it up as part of the new four-piece Valentine Gift Set for $29.95.
Oh, but things get even better. For a limited time, you can use the promo code DOUGHLOVE to score 20% off your order! For instance, that takes this Green Apple Dough down to $5.60 per jar! They also sell bundles of dough you can set out at the kids' tables during a wedding or give away as birthday party favours.
Their dough should last for months, especially if you massage and play with it often. Return the dough to its jar and screw the lid on tight when you're done playing. If it does start to dry out, though, this stuff is water-based, and you can rehydrate it. So go ahead and get that Collector's Gift Box!
Shipping across Canada is free when you spend at least $75. Make sure you tick the box saying you agree to their terms and conditions in the cart window. I kept forgetting to do so, and it wouldn't let me check out.
