Quebec residents only: Cineplex has released an awesome 2-for-1 deal on general admission tickets!
Yes, Quebec is but one province in all of Canada, but it has the second largest population (Ontario is first) and being from Quebec myself, I just had to tell my fellow Quebecers about this amazing deal. It seems there aren't too many perks associated with Quebec (I'm not even going to mention the taxes we pay) as all too often, Quebec is excluded from promotions, discounts and contests, but when a promotion is applicable to Quebec residents, it's like Christmas came early. Or in this case, Cineplex is quite literally giving thanks to all of its Quebec movie goers in honour of Thanksgiving.
It's probably just a coincidence that this BOGO deal launched right before the long Thanksgiving week-end but still, it's awesome and if you live in Quebec, you need to take advantage of it before it's too late.
It's super easy to get it too. Just click on the link above and after you fill in your name and e-mail address, you will be able to print a ticket for the 2-for-1 deal. The only hitch is that the entire process will be in French. If you don't speak/ write French, then look out for the yellow button saying: "Imprimer le coupon" once you fill in your information as this will allow you to print the ticket. Alternatively, you can also click the other yellow button next to it to "envoyer à votre courriel" to have a promotional code sent to your e-mail.
As a devout Scene Rewards member and fan, I highly suggest that you have Cineplex e-mail you a promotional code that you can then use to buy your ticket online. Doing so will allow you receive 20 bonus points on top of the regular 100 points for seeing a movie. Accumulating 1000 Scene points will allow you to watch any movie in any format for free.
The only exclusion to this awesome deal is that you can't use it to see a movie on Tuesday, which is probably because of the cheapie Tuesday deal. In case you didn't already know, every Tuesday, Cineplex offers a 50% discount on all of their admissions and you can still get the same amount of points as usual.
Not sure what to watch? Gone Girl is currently a major box office hit, along with Annebelle and the Equalizer. A word of warning though, despite coming in second on the top box office list right now, Annabella hasn't been generating the best reviews (6.1/ 10 on IMDB). Gone Girl, on the other hand, already has 8.6/ 10 on IMDB.
