Apple Canada started their back to school deals in June. When you purchase a new computer you will receive a free $100 gift card you can redeem in either the App or iTunes store. When you purchase an iPad you will receive a free $50 gift card.
To qualify:
To qualify for the Back to School Card offer and to get special pricing on a Mac at the Apple Online Store for Education, you must be a university student, a student accepted to a university, a parent buying for a university student, or a faculty or staff member from any grade level.
The Apple Online Store for Education requires that you select your education, and it might have you enter your (or your child's) school ID. I buy an Apple computer only with this sale because I get like $50 - $100 off the computer with education pricing, and then I get the bonus gift card.
